Washington Post: The era of new Stalins, Hitlers and Mussolinis is about to begin. What was Hitler going to do with Stalin after the victory over the USSR? The further fate of those involved in the assassination attempt, which never took place

Scientists have not found an answer to the most difficult question of the universe - why nature attached its head to the parishioners of the Church of the Saints and Immaculates on TV and the media!

But if you look at all the politicians preaching on TV and leading nations and peoples to the carrot at the end of the tunnel with undisguised curiosity, follow, so to speak, the daily play of their organisms and what ideas the son of God gushes out of his mouth, what exactly is he frightens the unfortunate electorate, it becomes clear that the scientific problem of the absence of a head or its presence will never be solved.
And what needs to be done to speed up the rapid flow of our lives into a future that is not as sad as the rich and well-fed present, and most importantly, to resolve the issue of brains and heads.

There are solutions!
a) Turn off the TV.
b) Shoot and then judge all the strategists of the demagoguery of modern politics for the slightest attempt to hang spaghetti on the brains of their injured nation, in the person of the listeners of the television church.
c) to make church parishioners think...., but the author has had too much, this is from the realm of illusions....
You can still lean journalists caught lying against the wall, although this is too much, lifelong hard labor is enough for them.

And if a citizen, who has not had time to shoot himself with noodles from the TV, stops listening to the artistic whistling of politicians and begins to think with his head, unlike state men, it must be said that disappointing pictures will gradually open up before the amazed gaze of individuals.

The basis of the Holy Scriptures of the numerous new church is their own, democratic, holy truth about Stalin and Hitler! Both are tyrants, both are murderers, both attacked each other, both started war with each other. But Hitler is not as bad as he is today. Suddenly it turns out. And in general, Stalin started the war...
Therefore, everything needs to be de-Sovietized, decommunized. They are silent about the Nazi Hitler.
One could say about the Nazis, and also denationalize, but some obscure word will not be understood by the people, and between us, politicians - the fathers of the church, they are the shepherds of their people, will not understand either. They are worried about their households, who are spending billions of honestly earned money in very honestly privatized factories.

Therefore, laws are being adopted that are very necessary in this difficult time. Laws on decommunization, de-Sovietization. About a worthy meeting of the “Holodomor Day”.
They successfully fail the vote to ban the National Socialists, followers of Hitler.
The streets are renamed, the emblems of the USSR are knocked down, the swastika is not touched.

The true church reveals the truth to its parishioners that it was not the USSR led by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief who won the war, but the frost and corpses that were thrown at the European Union led by Hitler.
Well, the Bandera heroes helped from their caches with aviation and navy, how could we have done without them.

Stalin's economy is terrible for the modern world. It’s not Stalin who’s scary, no. Its model of government and its economy make you snore and look back in horror at the USSR of the Stalinist period.

Why is literally the entire history of the USSR’s Victory over a united Europe led by the Chairman of the European Union there, Adolf Aloizych, distorted? The television tells its parishioners: a revision of the results of the Victory is, they say, a revision of the unshakable borders that emerged after the Second World War.
Oh, I beg you, the borders are constantly being redrawn, and no one is making noise about it...
The real reason, listen carefully here, is the following.

Those facts that show and prove the superiority of the Stalinist economy over the capitalist one are hushed up and distorted in every possible way. Hitler was brought to power by the capitalists, who immediately received huge military orders from their boyfriend. You will say - the Germans voted in the elections.
So, Hindenburg appointed Hitler as Chancellor of Germany three months before the elections, which were later won by the National Socialist Party, where Aloizych held the bigwig, in the sense that he was the most fierce.
Regarding capitalist industry during the war. Here's the real truth. Taken from reference books!!!

Soviet designers were given the task of reducing the cost of weapons as much as possible, achieving the production of more tanks and aircraft for the same money, using the same production facilities available.
And they released the T-34. Constantly reducing the cost of its production.
Capitalist German designers working for the private company MAN created the Panther - the best German, MAIN, medium tank. But, you know, the private owner has to earn money! How? Yes, simple. The company has given Panther an XXX-luxury package! Or premium. No, not leather seats.

The basic package included - a night sight, a necessary thing, although the tanks did not fight at night, devices for underwater driving, very unreliable stabilizers for shooting outright, and most importantly: the expensive chassis of the tank with a staggered arrangement of road wheels designed by G. Kniepkamp ensured good smoothness progress, but it was easier to hang myself than to replace the internal rollers during repairs.
And the price matched too...

The Panther tank, produced by a private company, turned out to be very expensive. The MAN company was making money, the state was straining itself. As a result, with the same material costs, Germany produced much fewer tanks and aircraft, having all the economic power of Europe behind it.

To the parishioners of the TV Church and others, wounded in the brain by TV, we explain that mass and simple weapons, the best at that time, won, and not all these FAUs, Berthas, Mouses, jet planes of that time, which cost a lot of money in private companies, and nothing decided....
Now, one academic historian sarcastically explained the misconceptions to your author:

“All the Soviet designers were imprisoned on trumped-up charges and worked in jail, the NKVD sergeants poked all the engineers in the teeth with a revolver and forced them to plow the flower of design thought for a bowl of gruel! Like, for example, Deputy People’s Commissar of Aviation Balandin. That’s why it’s cheap.”

Sorry, the author answers with dignity, everyone was in prison, and according to the verdict of the Soviet court, according to the laws of the USSR, adopted by the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
For example, the most famous aircraft designer Tupolev was imprisoned for embezzlement of public funds. I went on a business trip to the USA with my secretaries, lived on people’s money for two months, bought a couple of refrigerators for home, to dress there, and drawings of an airplane, where the measurements were in foot-pounds, and it was more expensive to recalculate than to invent the same thing....
Well, I stopped by the owner for a little...

And about the labor of prisoners. Until 1941, prisoners earned more than their guards.

Now is the turn of the war. Capitalist.
Germany had at its disposal the human and material resources of the European countries it occupied. In these countries in June 1941, almost 6.5 thousand enterprises worked for the Wehrmacht. German industry employed 3.1 million foreign workers, mostly Poles, Italians and French, accounting for about 9 percent of its total workforce.

Czechoslovakia, Europe's second largest arsenal, surrendered instantly! Nobody conquered it. The fortifications in the Sudetenland were more powerful than the Maginot Line. The army of Czechoslovakia was larger than the German one. Hitler simply ordered tanks, cars, weapons from Czechoslovakia, and the dying economy of the Czechoslovaks received new development.
All European states except England, Serbia and Greece declared war on the USSR.
Neutral Türkiye drew on the USSR troops; there was no trust in the Turks.
Neutral Sweden supplied the Germans with steel.
Neutral Switzerland hid Nazi money, and when the people of the USSR drove Hitler to suicide with their Stalinist economy, it suddenly became one of the richest powers in the world.

And the USSR won! Everyone! Commander-in-Chief I. Stalin.

The victorious Red Army of 5 million people in 1941 was opposed by armies subordinate to Germany with a total number of at least 11 million people. And if the number of German troops alone exceeded the number of Soviet troops by 1.6 times, then together with the troops of the European allies it exceeded the number of Soviet troops by at least 2.2 times.

And all these hysterical jokes from politicians about the victorious Stalinist economy are in many respects an amazing event.

Even more surprising is the fact that modern politicians and statesmen terribly hate I. Stalin, without understanding why. And they consider Hitler a less terrible horror than Stalin.
Collective farms cause special attacks of rage among adherents of the new church. Hunger, Holodomor, exile of peasants, shooting of kulaks, hopeless darkness, cold and famine, and four horses on top...
And then a malicious question to the priests of the new church.

Why was it that in the Red Army, up to 80% of which consisted of collective farmers, mass heroism fell specifically on peasant soldiers? How was I. Stalin able to force collective farmers from Central Asia and the Caucasus to die for Stalin and his collective farms? For what benefits? For what? For life in dugouts and hunger and famine? Executions and exiles?
They will say, the author is lying, you goat face, they surrendered in batches and fought against the collective farms.

For those killed in the head by TV - unkillable statistics:

According to the data of the German command and estimates of Russian historians, the total number of representatives of the peoples of the USSR (within 1941) who were part of the armed formations on the side of Germany (Wehrmacht, SS troops, police) was: Russians - more than 300 thousand, Ukrainians - 250 thousand, Belarusians - 70 thousand, Cossacks - 70 thousand, Latvians - 150 thousand, Estonians - 90 thousand, Lithuanians - 50 thousand, peoples of Central Asia - approx. 70 thousand, North Caucasus and Transcaucasia - up to 115 thousand, other peoples - approx. 30 thousand (total about 1200 thousand people). Sometimes a larger figure is indicated - 1.5 million people.

The population of the USSR in 1941 (June) was 196,716,000 people. Even one and a half million people is less than one percent of traitors in the country!

And also, due to hunger and collective farms. It is the collective farms that can bury the entire capitalist system. After all, capitalist agriculture is entirely owned by one or two corporations, which are fully subsidized by the state.
And collective farms are a total disaster for them. And further.
Thanks to the advantages of the socialist system, agricultural production reached 1940 levels by 1948.
And under Stalin - “each collective farm yard had personal ownership of a subsidiary plot on its own plot, a residential building, productive livestock, poultry and small agricultural implements”! It is in personal, private property!
And also: during the war, food PRICES did not rise, utilities did not rise either, the ruble stood and did not devalue. There was no famine during the war. Production output tariffs did not change from 1929 to 1961.
They changed it, and Novocherkassk happened, with the Panvits Cossacks amnestied.
So, the adherents of de-Sovietization themselves cannot really explain their hatred of I. Stalin, anger towards their ancestors, intolerance towards Victory, and phobia towards the USSR. They refer to television and the good life under Hitler.

Due to the fact that this sketch can be considered a doctoral dissertation on de-Sovietization, we will end in a scientific way. A couple of sayings.
About Stalin, who attacked Poland. Scientific quotation from the address to the nation on June 22, 1941 by the Chancellor of Germany, the Fuhrer, General Hitler.
“The victory in Poland, achieved exclusively by the forces of the German army, prompted me to again turn to the Western powers with a peace proposal.”

It seems that Otto von Bismarck is credited with the following words:
“...You don’t know this audience! Rothschild, I tell you, is an incomparable brute. For the sake of speculation on the stock exchange, he is ready to bury the whole of Europe, and it’s… me?...” Bismarck is of course a martyr and a rude man, but he said it so beautifully and succinctly.

The capitalist's personal interest will always be higher than the state one.
Therefore, suddenly, 63 years after the death of Joseph Stalin and the USSR, an orgy began to destroy the memory of the Stalinist economy and the creeping rehabilitation of the Hitlerite capitalist economy. Seemingly inexplicable...
Once I. Stalin won...

Autumn of '43. The Battle of Kursk has just ended victoriously. The Red Army is advancing. Stalin invited the People's Commissar of State Security, Vsevolod Merkulov, and the head of the IV Intelligence and Sabotage Directorate of the NKVD, Pavel Sudoplatov, to his nearby dacha in Kuntsevo. Both generals were in an excellent mood before the meeting. And not by chance. Now they were finally confident that they would be able to carry out the very important order of the leader, which was given at the beginning of the war. The report was short, but very convincing. At the end, Sudoplatov summed up:

Comrade Stalin, our intelligence officers have come close to the object and are ready to carry out your important task - to destroy the enemy of all mankind, Adolf Hitler.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

This operation was absolutely fair in its essence. And the fact that Joseph Vissarionovich ordered - without even planning - ordered the death of Hitler, it was, in my opinion, an absolutely correct and fair decision. A man who took millions of lives deserved retribution.

However, the leader’s answer after a long pause baffled the security officers. Stalin said that it was not worth killing Hitler. Ask the question “Why?” the generals did not take risks. But they also did not completely curtail preparations for the operation.

Pavel Sudoplatov

Soviet intelligence officer

Did we have such opportunities? It could have been found, but there had to be an order for this. Without an order, such things are not done, cannot be done. You can do something inadvertently.

The next report to Stalin was already in 1944: they say, everything is ready, we are just waiting for your go-ahead. And again the leader forbids killing Hitler. Moreover, he orders that preparations for the special operation be stopped, and the intelligence officer who prepared the fateful assassination attempt be recalled to his homeland.

So what happened? Why did Stalin cancel his order to destroy Hitler? Although he constantly monitored the progress of preparations for this complex operation. What made the leader save the life of his main enemy?

The existence of Stalin's plan to assassinate the Fuhrer was never mentioned during Soviet times. This was one of the especially protected state secrets. The prepared plan for the destruction of Adolf Hitler became known only when the Soviet Union was no longer there, and even then only in general terms. Today I will reveal all the intricacies of this unusual story, which has to do with the secrets of big politics.

Attempt at the Bürgerbräukeller beer hall in the fall of 1939

They wanted to kill Adolf Hitler from the moment he came to power. In the 1930s alone, at least 4 assassination attempts were made that could have taken the Fuhrer’s life. The Soviet intelligence services had nothing to do with them.

The most realistic attempt occurred on November 8, 1939. A powerful explosion occurred in the famous Munich beer hall “Bürgerbräukeller”, where Hitler spoke every year on the occasion of the Beer Hall Putsch of the 23rd year. The assassination attempt was carried out by lone anti-fascist Georg Elser. He prepared for his action long and carefully.

Georg Elser became a regular at the pub, and in the evenings before it closed, he hid in the pantry where rags and mops were stored.

When the hall emptied, Georg made his way to the huge concrete column covered with wooden panels, near which the podium was usually installed. He made holes in the panels and placed explosives in the voids.

On the eve of Hitler's arrival, Elser set the clock to 21:20.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

He was sure that Hitler would come out and stay there for at least an hour or at least 20 minutes; in the 20th minute he had to destroy him. And he destroyed other people because Hitler left unexpectedly and quickly in the 15th minute. Hitler also approximately saved himself from other assassination attempts with his nasty bestial instincts. It was as if he sensed trouble, danger to himself. And this animal instinct allowed him more than once or twice to escape from some events completely suddenly, on a whim, at which he should have been present to the end.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

Counts of assassination attempts on Hitler are a very complex thing, and different researchers estimate them differently. Usually the figure is increased to 20-30 attempts, but not so long ago another study was published in England. The researcher counted 50 attempts. Not the attempts that were made on Hitler, but these are the attempts that someone conceived and, suppose, did not carry out, but took at least some steps towards this implementation.

How to get close to the Fuhrer if he ends up in Moscow

With the outbreak of World War II, Adolf Hitler became even more personal enemies. The order “Destroy the Fuhrer” in the fall of 1941 came from Stalin.

The first assassination attempt was prepared in the winter of 1942, when our intelligence quite reasonably assumed that the Fuhrer, like Napoleon, in the event of the capture of Moscow, would come to the Soviet capital and organize a parade on Red Square. A list of units that will participate in it was even compiled, and invitation cards have already been printed. It was on Red Square that they wanted to present a “surprise” to the Fuhrer. Special groups were created and several variants of this operation were developed. Everything was led by the head of the special group of the NKVD, Pavel Sudoplatov.

Pavel Sudoplatov

Soviet intelligence officer

Moreover, immediately in front of me an instruction was given: to all heads of departments of independent departments of the NKVD of the USSR to provide me with full assistance in all work. And I began to receive employees with agents that were in touch with them, (they) began to come at my disposal. It must be said that this order was carried out, and nowhere in any case can I complain that I was denied anything.

It must be said that Soviet intelligence had experience in such operations. So on September 21, 1941, a pre-mined observation deck in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was blown up.

As a result, dozens of Wehrmacht staff officers were killed.

And on November 3, 1941, a sabotage group under the command of Captain Lutin blew up a radio bomb that was planted in the Kiev Assumption Cathedral.

As a result of this action, about 20 senior German officers and generals were killed, and Gauleiter Erich Koch was seriously wounded.

In Moscow, Pavel Sudoplatov created three sabotage groups. They were supposed to destroy Hitler if he and his retinue appeared in the occupied capital of the USSR.

One of the groups included recruited musician Lev Knipper.

During the Civil War, he served with the whites and therefore should not have aroused suspicion among the Germans. A well-trained person, an experienced climber.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Knipper was ready to sacrifice his life. He himself was German, and it was believed that his sister Olga Chekhova, who was recognized in Germany as an actress of the Reich - the highest title that only an actor could receive - was indeed involved in certain social circles, was invited to receptions where Goering was also present, and Himmler, and even Hitler. This was some kind of, I would say, real, potentially feasible moment in order to find some kind of approach to Hitler, if he ended up in Moscow, and try to destroy him.

Olga Chekhova bore the surname of her husband, the rising star of the Moscow Art Theater of the early 20th century, Mikhail Chekhov.

A Russified German, nee Knipper, she studied in the studio at this famous theater. After the revolution in 20, she left for Germany. By the age of 30 she had made a brilliant career. She was close to Hitler, who called her his favorite actress. It was assumed that Olga would be able to arrange a meeting between her brother and the Fuhrer in Moscow, during which he could kill Hitler.

Alexander Korshunov

Historian, journalist

Interestingly, our famous intelligence officer Zoya Rybkina directly admitted in her memoirs that Olga Chekhova fulfilled her duty to the Motherland, i.e. this can be considered a kind of recognition of her systemic involvement in the work against the fascists.

However, the Soviet capital was not surrendered to the Germans. And the plan to assassinate Hitler disappeared by itself. But the beginning of the 42nd year turned out to be even more difficult and tragic for the country and the Red Army than the 41st. The Germans captured vast new territories of the country. Under their heel was Ukraine, the North Caucasus, 70 million Soviet people ended up in occupied lands. Finally, the Nazis reached the Volga and tried to break through to Transcaucasia - to Baku, the country’s main fuel base.

Eliminate the beast in its lair

In the winter of 1942, Stalin summoned Pavel Sudoplatov and his deputy Naum Eitingon. The order was short: to begin preparations for the operation to eliminate Hitler. Now in Germany itself, as they said then - in the den of the beast.

The choice fell on Sudoplatov not by chance. In 1938, in Rotterdam, he personally eliminated the leader of Ukrainian nationalists Yevgen Konovalets, to whom he gave a bomb disguised as a box of Kyiv chocolates. In 1940, together with Naum Eitingon, he led Operation Duck in Mexico. The victim was Leon Trotsky.

But now the stakes were even higher: the target was the Fuhrer of the Third Reich. The task is more than difficult, and in real life we did not have such intelligence officers as the movie Stirlitz in Berlin.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

We had very, very few of our own illegal immigrants, and in the highest echelons of the German government there was only one such person. The man's last name is Willie Lehman, a minor rank.

Of course, Lehmann did not have any access to Hitler, and he had already been destroyed by the Germans at that time. This means that it was necessary to send people who were capable of killing Hitler, and it was necessary to do this as quickly as possible.

The plan was gradually filled with real figures. Sudoplatov decided to use the emigrant Prince Janusz Radziwill, who lived in Berlin, a friend of Goering and at the same time a secret agent of the NKVD.

He was close friends with Olga Chekhova, who was a real socialite and was familiar with Hitler, Mussolini, Goebbels, and Goering. Chekhova starred in 145 films and simultaneously carried out assignments from Lavrentiy Beria.

It was these two people, using their connections among the German aristocracy, who were supposed to provide the liquidator with access to Hitler somewhere at a private reception or party.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Hope lay in Olga Chekhova, whom many call a Soviet intelligence officer. I found no evidence of this, just as I did not find evidence that she was not a Soviet intelligence officer. A mythical figure, still very mysterious. I think that perhaps she was, at best, an agent of influence, and, perhaps, sometimes, for the sake of her brother Lev Knipper, who was in Moscow, she carried out some individual orders from Soviet intelligence.

Igor Miklashevsky: the path of a scout

But the main question was still: who should be entrusted with the role of performer? This person must understand that he is going to certain death. The choice ultimately fell on Igor Miklashevsky.

In December 1941, he was personally invited to serve in intelligence by the Commissioner of State Security, the head of the 3rd Department of the Secret Political Directorate of the NKVD, Viktor Ilyin.

Pavel Sudoplatov

Soviet intelligence officer

Igor Miklashevsky is a very interesting person. I also received it from the Secret Political Directorate. But we turned it around, we immediately sent it behind enemy lines with a certain specific task.

In 1942, Miklashevsky was 24 years old. Before becoming a State Security employee, he served in the army and was a sports guy - an excellent boxer.

But the main argument in favor of choosing Igor as the executor of the assassination attempt on Hitler was his uncle, actor Vsevolod Blumenthal-Tamarin.

In November 1941, he voluntarily went over to the side of the Germans.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

He and his wife waited for the Germans to arrive, voluntarily cooperated with them, and being a good actor, as they say, and even, let me emphasize, an Honored Artist of the RSFSR (at that time these titles were given to a few!), he brilliantly copied Stalin’s dull voice. He informed the Germans about this and often spoke on German radio, copying the leader, and, allegedly speaking on behalf of Stalin, all sorts of inflammatory texts.

But to Berlin and to Uncle Miklashevsky there still lay a difficult path full of drama. In 1942, he completed training at a special intelligence school near Kirov. These were short courses. And in December 1942, with a pre-thought-out legend of a deserter from the Red Army, he crossed the front line.

During this transition he could have died. The commander of the army unit through whose positions Igor was walking either did not report, or did not know, about the minefield that was located between our and German trenches. Miraculously, Miklashevsky did not blow himself up.

The German soldiers could not believe their eyes, they were dumbfounded: how did this guy manage to get through unharmed? This became a powerful argument that Miklashevsky was a real defector and not an NKVD agent.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

They framed it as desertion and as a completely heartfelt desire to fight on the side of the fascists. The Germans believed Miklashevsky because he immediately started talking about his uncle - they began to check, yes, there really was such an uncle...

They believed it, but not completely, and just in case they decided to test it again. Igor Miklashevsky was allegedly taken to execution. It was a psychological test. After all, another weaker person, feeling that he has only a few minutes left to live, may ask for mercy and confess everything.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Many said - yes, I’m not who I say I am, but Miklashevsky stood his ground and didn’t say a word. They believed him and enrolled him in the ROA (Russian Liberation Army)...

In the end, Miklashevsky was allowed to come to Berlin and live in the apartment of the Blumenthal-Tamarins. From that moment on, the stage of its introduction into high society began. In the capital of the Third Reich, Igor tried to become an inveterate theatergoer. At one of the performances he was introduced to Olga Chekhova, through her at the Lubyanka they learned about Miklashevsky’s successful completion of the first part of the task - to gain a foothold in Berlin.

This was also helped by the fact that our scout was an excellent boxer. He began to regularly participate in exhibition fights. During one of them, Igor made a new, very valuable acquaintance.

Alexander Korshunov

Historian, journalist

He entered social circles and met the famous Max Schmeling, a boxer and German heavyweight champion. Max Schmeling was one of the propaganda icons of the Third Reich.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Schmeling was truly Hitler's favorite. Meeting him was very prestigious. And Schmeling, seeing the Russian, liked that the Russian jumped over to the Germans and gave him his photograph with the caption “To Igor Miklashevsky from Schmeling.” It really was some kind of pass...

Through these new contacts, Igor received additional access to the top and had the opportunity to meet with Hitler and Goering on several occasions. Retribution was inexorably approaching the Fuhrer.

But time passed. It was already 1943. The situation at the fronts changed radically. During the time that Miklashevsky spent on preparation, transition to the Nazis, and legalization in the Reich, a serious turning point occurred in the war.

In February, the Battle of Stalingrad ended with a brilliant victory, the Germans rolled back from the North Caucasus.

Alexander Korshunov

Historian, journalist

Behind was the Battle of Kursk, the crossing of the Dnieper - this was the most powerful line of defense of the Nazis, which gave Hitler reason to believe that he would be able to retain Ukraine with its raw materials. These hopes were dashed.

For the Western allies, it becomes obvious: Germany is losing the war, and the Red Army will definitely enter Europe, and this is not just a scarecrow, it is terrifying.

New twist in history: Don't touch Hitler!

In the fall of 1943, Igor Miklashevsky sent a radiogram to Moscow:

The readiness to eliminate Hitler has been achieved.

Moreover, it is possible to destroy not only Hitler, but also Goering. In the theater, during a performance with the participation of Olga Chekhova.

And then Stalin summons Sudoplatov and Merkulov and cancels the entire operation. Moreover, he specifically orders: do not touch Hitler!

This was all the more strange since at the same time, attempts to destroy the Fuhrer were multiplying in Germany itself.

On March 21, 1943, a high-ranking Wehrmacht officer and at the same time an active participant in the German resistance movement, Baron Rudolf-Christoph von Gersdorff, could blow up Adolf Hitler in the Berlin Zeichhaus Armory Museum, where an exhibition of captured weapons was held.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

When Gersdorff accompanied Hitler to the exhibition and he had a bomb with him that he was about to detonate, this, in general, was not an assassination attempt, because the bomb was not detonated.

Western intelligence agencies also prepared an attempt on Hitler's life. At the beginning of 1944, British intelligence MI6 planned to drop a super-powerful bomb on the Fuhrer's Wolf's Lair headquarters in East Prussia. Then this action was abandoned.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

An operation was developed, and a rather serious one at that. In general, it had a chance of success, although, in my opinion, it was built somewhat adventurously, and, of course, this did not provide a 100% guarantee...

During this period of the war, Stalin more than once received information from intelligence about secret separate negotiations of our allies in the anti-Hitler coalition with senior German officials. These contacts became more frequent and worried him, since they were talking about the possibility of concluding a separate peace, and a living Hitler was extremely dangerous for these negotiators.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

And the Vatican also intervened, conducting secret negotiations with representatives of certain German forces, who said that they would destroy Hitler and there would be a government that would fight against the Russians together with the allies.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

If, in the event of Hitler’s death, someone comes to power, well, for example, Goering, then it is quite likely that a separate peace will be concluded, the preservation of Nazi Germany as such, because the regime remains, it will simply be modified, it will not be so terrorist, not so anti-human, will be veiled...

If an ordinary Soviet person had known during the war that Stalin had the opportunity to kill Hitler and he deliberately did not use it, then, most likely, they simply would not have believed it.

But the leader was already thinking about the post-war world order. The unconditional victory over fascism made it possible to significantly expand the sphere of influence of the Soviet Union in Europe. And a separate peace between the Germans and the allies would put an end to all these far-reaching plans of Stalin.

But Hitler greatly interfered with the Western countries; only his death could make their negotiations real. A new Germany, without Hitler, without the Soviets – sounds beautiful.

Now it is the life or death of the Fuhrer that turns out to be the most important factor in the great geopolitical game.

Assassination in the "Wolf's Lair": Hitler is already interfering with Germany

On July 20, 1944, the most famous assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler took place at the Fuhrer's Wolf's Lair headquarters.

Colonel of the Army Reserve Staff, Count Claus Schenck von Stauffenberg, and his adjutant, Oberleutnant Werner von Haften, tried to assassinate their supreme commander.

The powerful explosion of the infernal machine was the culmination of a well-prepared conspiracy.

Part of the German generals and senior officers, foreseeing the inevitable defeat of Germany, decided to eliminate Hitler and conclude a separate peace with the Western powers, thereby preventing the final defeat of the Third Reich.

The conspirators coordinated their actions with American and British intelligence services.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

Contacts were constant. German conspirators went to the West. Not on us, on the West. This was necessary for the following reasons: it was extremely important for the conspirators not only to kill Hitler and carry out a coup, they needed to receive immediate support.

The moment they seize power, they would immediately receive the support of Western democracy, a truce at the front, the arrival of Western troops, because they believed that Germany, if Hitler and the Nazi regime were eliminated, had a chance not only to maintain the borders in the east 39- 1941, but there was general talk about maintaining the borders of even 1941 and perhaps even 1942.

Alexander Korshunov

Historian, journalist

One of the leaders of the conspirators, Colonel-General Beck, sent a letter to the Americans shortly before the opening of the second front and the assassination attempt on Hitler, saying that we could carry out a coup and, moreover, allow American and English troops to land unhindered on the territory of the Reich.

But the Allies did not always have a negative attitude towards Hitler. The Third Reich, as a powerful military force, turned primarily to the East, is in many ways a project of the West.

It was on Western, mainly American, investments that the economy of Nazi Germany and its military power rose in the 30s. The Reich, led by Hitler, was the bloodthirsty dog that could be unleashed against the “Red Project” called the USSR. And the frantic Fuhrer became the best driving force behind this project.

Secret Society of Aryans Thule and tacit support of the West

The formation of Hitler's worldview took place in the early 20s in Munich in the secret society Thule (Thule-Gesellschaft). It got its name in honor of the mythical northern island where the Aryan race supposedly originated.

One of the leaders of this society was Dietrich Eckart.

Mystic, practicing occultist, writer and Nazi ideologist.

A man who was one of Hitler's first teachers, but only for a short time. In 1923, he had already died, but he said the following remarkable thing: “Follow Hitler, he will dance, and I ordered the music. I made a huge contribution to the future of Germany."

In Thule society, Hitler learned the main thing - the superiority of the Aryan race and hatred of other peoples, especially Jews and Slavs. And the main driving force in Germany was to be the Nazi Party.

Alexander Korshunov

Historian, journalist

It is interesting that when Hitler was involved in the activities of the closed secret organization Thule, the idea of creating this party was born in DAP - Deutsche Arbeiterpartei - German Workers' Party. And in the 20th it already received the name that it would have until its collapse, NSDAP - National Socialist German Workers' Party.

But when Hitler came to power in Germany, he stopped noticing his former mentors, with few exceptions, although many of them sincerely sought to work in the structures of the Third Reich.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

And it was then that it became clear that Hitler, having partially borrowed ideas from them, was not going to admit it. That is, he believed that he processed everything that he received, and he himself was the author of it. Accordingly, Hitler was not going to tolerate under any circumstances any attempt at competition in ideological terms. Who did Hitler receive? Hitler received Rosenberg, Hitler received Hess, and both men categorically asserted that Hitler was our messiah...

And the West initially supported such an uncontrollable aggressor until Hitler completely got out of control. But even with the beginning of World War II, some US financial and industrial structures continued to cooperate with Nazi Germany and maintain contact with former partners.

Periodically, supplies of American oil were sent to the Reich, which were carried by sea by tankers to the Canary Islands. The further part of the route passed under the escort of German warships.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

Yes, it was. As for the sale of oil, deliveries were made through neutral countries. The United States did not trade directly with Germany.

All economic ties between the West and the Germans during the war were kept in the strictest confidence by both sides.

This was especially true for the trade in valuables that the Nazis took from the occupied countries and, above all, from the Soviet Union.

Among the stolen items were world-class works of art – ancient icons and antiques.

Many of these treasures were then sold at secret auctions in neutral Switzerland, and the main buyers were “moneybags” from the United States.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

The International Bank of Currency Settlement, which still exists and existed during the war in Switzerland, is a bank that was created by all European powers, the British headed it during the war, and through it during the war the Reichsbank traded gold obtained in concentration camps.

The scheme for extracting this gold was well developed. The SS took away valuables from Jews, who were sent en masse to concentration camps.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

They were not told that they were being sent to a concentration camp. They were told that they were being sent to a new place of residence in the East, so they were advised to take with them the valuables that were confiscated. Then the Jews were sent to the gas chamber, after which the SS transferred this gold to the Reichsbank, and the Reichsbank credited a certain amount to the SS account. After this, the gold ended up in the vaults of the Reichsbank, where it was melted into bars, and these bars were sold abroad.

But Hitler prevented the development of economic ties between the West and Germany. Nobody wanted to deal with this inadequate person. In addition, the Fuhrer firmly stood on the position of “war to a victorious end,” and by 1944 it became clear to the Americans and British that Hitler would lose this war, he was already a waste material.

The Red Army was inevitably approaching the borders of the Third Reich. And this horrified our allies. Russian communists must be stopped! To do this, you must first destroy Hitler, and then make peace with the new German government.

On June 6, 1944, the Allies opened a second front and began running towards Berlin, trying to reach it first. And now, just two weeks later, the most notorious attempt on the life of Adolf Hitler, carried out by Colonel Stauffenberg. What is this? Coincidence or coordinated actions with Western intelligence agencies? There is no exact answer to this question yet.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

First of all, the British intelligence services worked very actively, and the bet, in general, was on the conspirators. The question was not simply to eliminate Hitler as a figure, but to simultaneously carry out a coup d'état and confirm that Germany would cease resistance in the West.

The conspirators had a clear program that was supposed to come into force after the death of the Fuhrer: to form a provisional government, immediately explain to the people the criminal role of Hitler, immediately end the war and conclude a compromise peace with the Western powers.

Konstantin Zalessky

Historian, journalist

Stauffenberg insisted that a categorical truce in the East was necessary. But the group of old German conservative nationalists, Goerdeller was there, they just believed that it was quite enough to make peace with the West, to incorporate Germany into the Western world, not the Eastern - in no case! The Soviet system, the Bolshevik system was hostile...

The fact that the assassination attempt occurred in this case is not the mistake of the trained German dog guards, but the mistake of Hitler. He overestimated not someone, not the guards, he underestimated not these people who did not love him, he overestimated himself, believing that he really was God and the favorite of these generals.

The explosion of a bomb left by Colonel Stauffenberg in a briefcase near the massive table at which the meeting was being held injured 24 people.

Four of them - two generals, a colonel and a stenographer - died. The rest received injuries of varying severity.

Hitler miraculously survived.

Nikolay Dolgopolov

Journalist, writer, deputy editor-in-chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta

He suffered greatly, he was very seriously wounded, this was hidden, of course, from Germany and from the world. But I would say that it made a great impression, firstly, on the army; secondly, on the people; and thirdly, Hitler fell ill and very seriously. Only those close to him knew about this, such as his concubine Eva Braun. She writes that he became deaf in one ear, that he could no longer see in one eye, his hands began to shake, and that sometimes he fell into some kind of oblivion.

The fact that Hitler remained alive was to Stalin's advantage. The Red Army continued its victorious offensive in Europe unhindered. Any separate negotiations between the West and the Germans were no longer possible.

The further fate of those involved in the assassination attempt, which never took place

What happened to the Soviet intelligence officer Igor Miklashevsky after the leader canceled his order to destroy Hitler?

At first, Miklashevsky remains in Germany, but then, as an officer in the Vlasov army, the Germans will send him to Normandy to fight the Anglo-American allies. There, in one of the battles, he was seriously wounded, but thanks to Igor’s connections, he was sent to the best Berlin hospital.

After being discharged by order from the Center, the intelligence officer goes to visit his uncle Blumenthal-Tamarin, who by that time lived in a small town in southern Germany. The death sentence that was handed down to the traitor at the beginning of the war has not been canceled.

Alexander Korshunov

Historian, journalist

And, in fact, Igor Miklashevsky carried out the sentence at the end of the war. He visited the Anglo-Americans, then he was extradited in 1947 - he returned, but a bullet wound in Normandy did not give him the opportunity to continue working in the reconnaissance field.

Igor Miklashevsky returned to his homeland and continued to practice boxing, but as a coach.

At the time of his return he was only 27 years old. He achieved success in this field, trained several USSR champions, and died in Moscow in September 1990.

The post-war fate of Olga Chekhova is also unusual, as, in fact, is her life in Germany. After the Victory, she was detained by Smersh authorities and flown to Moscow. Within a few weeks she was released, she returned back to Germany, where she settled in the future West Berlin, then moved to Munich. She will still star in 22 films, and later she will even have a good business - she will open her own company, “Olga Chekhova’s Cosmetics,” which will have branches in Berlin and Milan...

But if Stalin had not canceled his order, the fate of these people would not have been so happy. Most likely, if the intelligence officers had carried out the Fuhrer’s sentence, they would have died.

But Stalin deliberately let Hitler hold out until the end of the war. After the last assassination attempt, the Fuhrer will live another 9 months and 10 days. The Soviet Army will capture Berlin and defeat the Nazis.

Then a socialist camp friendly to the Soviet Union will be formed.

The new political landscape in Europe following the Second World War will persist for another half century.

Some modern publications play out the version that Hitler could have captured Stalin and organized something like an “anti-Nuremberg” over communism. But this version seems extremely doubtful.

Although Nazi propaganda constantly exposed the “crimes of Bolshevism,” its inspirers understood perfectly well that a tribunal over a communist dictatorship in itself was capable of stirring up the national feelings of Russians, and this was clearly not part of the plans of the Third Reich. On the contrary, Hitler tried in every possible way to prevent the creation of a puppet Russian government, even like the one he created in occupied Serbia, and the widespread participation of Russian emigrants and prisoners of war in the war against the USSR. He repeatedly expressed a clear position that lands in the East were being acquired by the Germans and only for the Germans. The continuation of the national-state existence of Russia, even in the form of a formal fiction, after Germany’s victory over the USSR, contradicted this position.

At the same time, there is only one theoretical scenario in which Stalin could have been captured by Hitler. This is a military coup in the USSR, which would have been staged by people from Stalin’s entourage in the event of defeat in the war (for example, after the surrender of Moscow). Then the new rulers could buy peace with Hitler at the price of handing over Stalin to him. Of course, if Hitler needed it. But even in this case, it is unlikely that the Fuhrer would organize some kind of parody of the trial.

I will try to write my accumulated thoughts about revolutions, political technologies and my conclusions about the paths of development. Already in the process of writing, I was faced with the fact that even if I completely omit the evidentiary part, I still cannot fit it into one post and will have to split it into several. So, part one “Russia and Germany. How a cat became a dog”:

At school I didn't like the subject "history". An overripe, plump woman with unpleasant-looking skin and a shrill voice tediously talked about the affairs of some ancient dudes, demanding only stupid memorization of dates. It wasn't even boring because I wasn't even listening. Nobody listened. They gave everyone a C, and that was it. And then I no longer had a compulsory subject “history” and I happily lived without knowledge of the past for most of my life. I am sure many have had similar “teachers” and you will understand me.
I began to think about the significance of history as a science when I was already quite an adult. When certain political changes began in Russia and the world, references began to be made to the concept of “revolution,” then I asked the first question, which gave me an interest in history as the most important tool for understanding the current situation and predicting future developments. That question sounded simple: “Before 1917, for many hundreds of years, Russia was a monarchical state with a quite good economy, traditions and a relatively stable political situation. How did it happen that in October 1917 everything COMPLETELY changed and the country turned towards catastrophic development, like the USSR ?". I found the answer to this question by reading several articles about Lenin, Stalin, the First World War, the Second World War, about the political games of Germany and Russia, about the influence of the United States and a bunch of other notes. I must say that this greatly changed my vision of the situation and gave me the opportunity to take a different look at what is happening now.

As I have written more than once: Russia and Germany at the beginning of the twentieth century are twin brothers, the countries are not just sister cities, but literally two countries with the same EVERYTHING. This paradox is surprising because just a few years earlier, Russia and Germany were bitter enemies. The German Empire of Bismarck and the Russian Empire of Nicholas II fought tooth and nail for their economic interests and claims to “disputed” (in fact, weakly armed) lands. But literally in 20-30 years everything has changed exactly the opposite (the first allusion to the revolution of 1017).
Around the same time, monarchies are overthrown and both countries begin military industrialization and military build-up, which obviously indicates preparation for a global world war. In both countries, immediately after the overthrow of the kings, power passed into the hands of albeit revolutionary, but quite moderate forces, which prepared the ground for further economic growth of the country and for recovery after the war. And literally at the same time, power smoothly passes from the hands of moderate forces aimed at “licking wounds” into the hands of extremists, militants and outright bandits. In Russia it is Lenin's terrorist cell, and in Germany it is the National Socialist Party. Moreover, the most surprising thing in this story is that even though these two political forces opposed themselves to each other (one of the reasons for Hitler’s victory in the elections was his fierce criticism of the German Communist Party), they acted in the SAME methods, using the same political technologies. Hitler is elected monopoly chairman of the party only after his demonstrative “exit” from it. Exactly the same story happens with Stalin: Lenin criticizes him in his letter, Stalin makes an offended face and allegedly leaves the party, but then he was “persuaded to return” and he becomes the sole “owner” of the only real political force in the country.
The entire history of the reigns of Hitler and Stalin is replete with amazing coincidences. Both begin to physically eliminate their political opponents, both announce a total modernization of production and a reorientation towards increasing military potential, both at the end of the 30s begin the SAME expansion into Europe. I will not dwell in detail on the proof of these theses now; it will take a VERY long time and require truly gigantic work. It’s just that if you decide to read about this period yourself, pay attention to the similarities in the methods and development paths of two initially completely different states.

For me, these similarities served as a bell that sang “but not everything is clean here.” No, really, if a cat starts wagging its tail, running after a stick and peeing on trees with its paw raised, then you can’t help but wonder what happened to it. I’ll say right away - I don’t know exactly what happened to Germany or Russia, but there are very funny facts that Lenin was very active in Austria and Germany from the late 1890s, and subsequently received serious financial subsidies from there. In exactly the same way, there are facts that in the early 1920s, Soviet Russia was very actively pushing its ideas into Germany and sharing resources. This is despite the fact that the entire south of the future USSR did not even suspect that they belonged to the Soviets. That is, the new government in Russia paid much more attention to Germany, with which Russia did not have common borders, than to Ukraine and Central Asia, with which there were borders. It's amazing why. And so it is in everything. I'm telling you - twin brothers.

That's all for now.

The history of the early 20th century may repeat itself again due to the collapse of the liberal world order.

Sometimes a certain event or the fate of a specific person becomes a symbol of a global, historical trend. The murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the consulate in Istanbul was one such moment.

It symbolizes the US's departure from its role as a force that restrained evil actors in the world, writes the Washington Post.

There were other dire signals as well. . The Myanmar military committed genocide against the Rohingya people. In Syria, there is a deliberate and constant massacre of civilians using even prohibited chemical weapons. Russia invaded Ukraine and occupied Crimea. The rise of the radical right in Europe and other parts of the world is also associated with a loss of strength and vitality among democratic countries. Doubts about America have been reverberating throughout the planet for over a decade now, and other powers have begun to respond accordingly.

When Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán boasted of his “illiberal state” a few years ago, he emphasized that he was only reacting to new realities, namely “the great redistribution of global financial, economic, commercial, political and military power that became apparent in 2008.” year."

“Congratulations on the decline of the liberal world order that the United States once supported. And this is just the beginning,” the publication writes.

World order is one of those things that people don't think about until it's gone. This is a lesson that America learned in the 1930s, when the old European order collapsed and the United States refused to step in to support or replace it. It was then that the Americans realized that there will always be dangerous people in the world who lack the strength and capabilities to carry out their plans. They can be suppressed by a justifiable stable international order. It doesn't matter if it is Rome, a united Christendom, a European concept of power, or any form of "civilization" in a particular place and time.

While the world order is strong, evil sits in the shadows, but never disappears. When the prevailing order falls apart, then there comes a time when the shadow dissipates, and those dark sides of human nature that lived in it creep out.

This is exactly what happened in the first half of the 20th century. The conditions under which Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Benito Mussolini came to power were ensured by a world in which no one was willing or able to maintain any semblance of world order. This gave the bloody dictators a chance to show what they were capable of. If there had been order to dispel their ambitions, the world would probably never have had to deal with the bloody tyrants who went down in history as aggressors and mass murderers.

“Today the shadow is dissipating again. Those who urge us to distance ourselves from the world and show greater restraint tell us that we must accept the world “as it is.” But they have no idea what the world, as it is, is really like. They grew up inside a bubble of protection created by the power of the US and the liberal world it supported. In a world where other countries had to behave as demanded those realities of power,” the article says.

It was shaped by the beliefs of its leaders about what the United States could or would be forced to accept. They were driven by a sense of strength and consolidation of the liberal order. The same applies to the behavior of China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and every state or non-state actor who could seek ways to undermine or overthrow the existing order. All of them would have behaved differently long ago if America and its allies also behaved differently.
