Servers for the World of Tanks 1.5 game update test are dedicated servers where the playability of cards, vehicle characteristics, and general updates are tested by ordinary wot players. The test server is available only at certain times; entry is possible only when the developers are ready to test the functionality of game innovations.

How it works?

Let's look at what a test server is. Basically, this is a virtual resource where a modified copy of the game is located. The main purpose is to test and check the capabilities of any innovations before including them in the main patch.
WG developers get access to test domains first. Then super-testers are connected to look for shortcomings and bugs. After the fix, additional testing is carried out with the maximum load of the game client.

To do this, a copy of the game is “uploaded” to a backup domain, where anyone can access it. After this, the detected deficiencies are again eliminated, after which changes are made to the main game client.

How to take part in the WoT test?

Anyone can take part in testing the game. To do this, you need to download the installer with version 1.5. After which, the installer will prompt the user to download the test game client. After the download is complete, a new folder WORLD of TANKS is created on the desktop, with a directory of graphics settings specified by the player.

Key Features

There are two basic rules for test participants:

  1. Participants receive: 20,000 in-game gold, 100,000,000 credits and free experience.
  2. Experience earned on the test server, game currency and purchased equipment are not transferred to the main client.

Test goal for patch 1.5.1

Players will have to test the following innovations:

  • Changes for the LBZ tank: Object 279 early;
  • 3 maps converted to HD:
    "Empire's Border"
    Widepark,
    Highway
  • Changes and edits on maps: Ruinberg, Overlord, Redshire, Sand River and Paris;

We present the first general test of update 1.1 with the campaign of personal combat missions “Second Front”, a branch of Polish tanks, new and updated maps and something else.

Personal combat missions: “Second Front”

The long-awaited new campaign of personal combat missions “Second Front” is already here. Three combat operations with different mission conditions and three new tanks as the main reward. This campaign will be a great challenge, and completing the tasks will be generously rewarded.

“Second Front” will be available to all players. If you haven't completed the first campaign, you can complete both sets of objectives simultaneously. After the release of update 1.1, we plan to gradually open operations: the first will be available immediately, then the second will appear for those who completed it, and some time after the release, the third.

Second Front is a new challenge for your gaming skills. In the three operations of this campaign, personal combat missions will have a different set of conditions:

  • First operation: you need to fulfill a certain condition for an unlimited number of battles (for example, inflict 10,000 units of damage for any number of battles). The tasks are cumulative and will require diligence.
  • Second operation: it is necessary to fulfill a certain condition in one battle. Very similar to the tasks from the first campaign: you will have to show how tough you can be in one battle.
  • Third operation: stability is a sign of mastery. You will have to show consistent results in a series of battles (for example, maintain a certain average damage in ten battles in a row).

In the new campaign of personal combat missions there are no strict restrictions on vehicle classes. Instead, national associations will appear, on whose equipment it is necessary to perform tasks - one chain (15 tasks) in an operation for each of them. There are four in total:

  • Union: USSR and China.
  • Block: Germany and Japan.
  • Alliance: USA, UK and Poland.
  • Coalition: France, Sweden, Czechoslovakia and Italy.

The reward within the “Second Front” will be three completely new vehicles with unique features. Here they are:

British Tier VI tank destroyer Excalibur

A car created as part of a British project known collectively as “Beetles” due to its unusual body shape.

You will receive not only these cars, but also other in-game equipment, as well as a female crew.

You can track the completion of tasks directly in battle using the key Tab or N. This feature will only be available for new missions within the Second Front, but we plan to add this feature for the first campaign as well.

New cards

Minsk

The map is at the stage of final optimization and improvements. There may be performance issues with this card.

As you know, Minsk is a special city for Wargaming, because the company was founded here. On the map, we recreated the city center of the early 1970s, changing some things to make the gameplay easier. If you have visited Minsk, you will recognize many places immediately. If not, just admire the cityscape and immerse yourself in the city's past!

Studzianki

This map is not based on any specific historical site. It was created based on the Battle of Studzianki and combines open spaces and points of confrontation. At the location you will find wide fields, a large amount of vegetation, small village buildings centered around a tall church. The central point of the map is a small brick factory, which will become an important strategic point during the battle.

Changes to current maps

Calm

Many positions (including the aircraft carrier and serpentine road) have been redesigned. Fights on this map will become more fair.

Siegfried Line

The positions of the northern team are fortified on the map. Many points are reinforced with additional stones. The landscape has also changed.

Mines

The map required rebalancing because it gave the northern team a significant advantage: the left flank gave them easier and faster access to the central island. Using heat maps and statistics, we made this location more balanced and fair to the southern team.

Provinces

Now only Tier IV-VII vehicles can fight on this map. With minor modifications to help the southern team, the bulk of the changes should provide cover from fire at various positions.

Industrial zone

The map has been redesigned in HD quality, and its size has increased from 800x800 to 1000x1000 m. Changes have also been made that will improve the gameplay for all types of vehicles. In addition, the eastern part of the map has been completely redesigned.

Before the release of update 1.1, we will publish a separate article with detailed information about the changes to each map.

Polish branch of technology

With the Polish map, Polish tanks will also appear in the game. It's time to get acquainted with the new technology branch: ten vehicles are ready to be tested in battle!

We decided to add this nation as a sign of respect for the dedication and courage of the Polish people during two world wars, when Polish territory was at the very center of conflicts.

The branch will start with light tanks at low levels, continue with STs at medium levels, and end with heavy tanks at high levels. Enter the game and test Polish vehicles in battle!

List of changes to the general test

New campaign of personal combat missions “Second Front”

  1. The new campaign consists of three operations:
    1. Excalibur (available immediately);
    2. Chimera (will become available after unlocking for order forms that will be credited on the evening of August 3);
    3. “Object 279 (p)” (will not be available on the general test).
  2. Each operation includes four task branches. Each branch is executed on machines of a certain association of nations (without reference to the type of equipment):
    • Union: USSR, China.
    • Block: Germany, Japan.
    • Alliance: USA, UK, Poland.
    • Coalition: France, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, Italy.
  3. Access to a new campaign is available immediately and does not depend on the results achieved in the first campaign. This way, the tasks of the two campaigns can be completed simultaneously.
  4. Each branch of the “Second Front” campaign has 15 combat missions: 14 can be completed in any order, and the 15th opens after completing all the previous ones (as in the first campaign).
  5. Each operation has its own characteristics of performing tasks:
    • Operation Excalibur: cumulative tasks. The condition is met for an unlimited number of battles (for example, inflict 10,000 damage over any number of battles).
    • Operation Chimera: the condition is fulfilled in one battle (as in the first campaign).
    • Operation "Object 279 (r)": the condition is met for a certain number of battles. If you fail, progress is reset and the task must be started again. This operation is not available on the general test.
  6. For completing each task, you are given a reward in the form of credits, equipment, etc. For completing the entire operation, you are given a unique car that cannot be obtained in any other way.
  7. Added progress for completing tasks in battle:
    • In version 1.1, progress will only work for a new campaign.
    • A detailed description of accepted tasks will appear in battle when you press Tab or N.
  8. There are now two indicators of personal combat missions in the Hangar, one for each campaign.
  9. Operations of the “Second Front” campaign will be opened sequentially after a certain period of time. Those who complete the operation before the next one appears will receive a unique emblem.
  10. The interface of the first campaign has been improved:
    • The home screen has been completely redesigned to allow both campaigns to be displayed on one screen.
    • The task card has been improved.
    • All elements are brought to a single form, taking into account the features of both campaigns.
    • New reward screens have been added for completing personal combat missions.
    • The display of tasks in battle by pressing the Tab key has been reworked.

Graphic arts

  • Added the “Studzianki” map in the Polish setting.
  • Added map "Minsk".
  • The "Industrial Zone" map has been converted to HD and added to the game. Main changes:
    • The size has been increased from 800x800 to 1000x1000 m.
    • The eastern part of the map has been completely redesigned.
    • Balance and gameplay changes have been made.

Balance changes have been made to the following maps:

  1. "Calm";
  2. "Siegfried Line";
  3. "Mines";
  4. "Province".

Only Tier IV-VII vehicles will now be included in battles in the Provinces.

  • You can now change the appearance of all Tier IX vehicles.
  • The Wwise sound engine has been updated: critical errors in the sound system have been fixed, and new features have appeared to improve the sound in the game.

Polish branch of technology

A complete branch of Polish vehicles has been added, consisting of ten vehicles from Tier I to Tier X:

  1. 25TP KSUST II
  2. 40TP Habicha
  3. 45TP Habicha
  4. 53TP Markowskiego
  5. 50TP Tyszkiewicza
  6. 60TP Lewandowskiego

Changes in vehicle parameters

  • Added the Object 279 Early tank (for testing by super testers).
  • Added IS-2M tank.
  • Added Chimera medium tank (for testing by super testers).
  • Added Excalibur tank destroyer (for testing by super testers).

IX Object 430 Option II: displayed 4TDF engine power changed from 580 to 610 hp. pp., which corresponds to the actual one.

  • Run the installer, which will download and install a test version of the client 1.1 (4.83 GB for the SD version and an additional 1.74 GB for the HD version). When launched, the installer will automatically offer to install the test client in a separate folder on your computer; You can also specify the installation location yourself.
  • If you have the previous test version installed, then 748 MB will be downloaded.
  • Please note: Installing in a folder containing legacy test client files may cause technical problems.
  • Run the installed test version.
  • Only those players who registered in World of Tanks before July 24, 23:59 (Moscow time) can take part in the test.
    • Due to the large number of tankers on the test server, there is a restriction on user entry. All new players who want to take part in testing the update will be placed in a queue and will be able to join the server when it is free.
    • If the user changed the password after July 24, 23:59 (Moscow time), authorization on the test server will only be available using the password that was used before the specified time.
    • Payments are not processed on the test server.
    • This testing does not increase experience and credit earnings.
    • Achievements on the test server will not transfer to the main one.
    • During testing 1.1, the test servers undergo scheduled maintenance (25 minutes on each server, starting at 7:00 (Moscow time)).
    • Please note: the test server is subject to the same rules as the main game server. Consequently, there are penalties for violating these rules in accordance with the License Agreement.
    • The Help Center does not review requests related to the General Test.
    • We remind you: the most reliable way to download the World of Tanks client, as well as its test versions and updates, is on the official game portal. By downloading a game from other sources, you expose your computer to the risk of malware infection. The development team is not responsible for links to the game client and updates (as well as their content) on third-party resources.

    Not long ago, a new update was released for the game World of Tanks, which was dubbed another nerf to tank destroyers. The new patch 0.9.2, in addition to the nerf of certain top cars, introduced a significant number of changes to the game. On the test server, as always, there was a line of people eager to test the new update. If you are a beginner, you have probably thought about how to play on the World of Tanks test server. Anyway, what is a test server and how does it differ from regular RU servers?

    Perhaps it’s worth starting with the fact that the Common Test 1/2 test servers only work while testing new patches. Thanks to open testing, Wargaming collects patch data, errors, bugs and finalizes the update. Thus, while testing a new update, the test servers may be restarted several times.

    To play on the test server, you must have a pre-registered account. As a matter of fact, if you have never played World of Tanks before starting the test, then you will not be able to play on the test server. A month before the test, a cut of the base is made. Thus, when you enter the game on the Common_Test server, you will have tanks in the hangar at the time the base is cut. If you changed your password, you will have to use the pass that you had previously.

    But why is everyone so eager to get on the test server? Firstly, in addition to getting acquainted with the innovations, the player can play on any vehicle, since when he enters the test server, in addition to his account funds (gold/silver), he is also allocated an additional amount: 20 thousand gold, 100 million free experience and 100 million silver. Any player will envy such a reserve of currency. Alas, all achievements and “money” are not transferred to regular servers.

    Thanks to gold, players can buy any premium tank and play on it. True, 20 thousand gold will not give you the opportunity to buy two premium tanks of level 8 at once. But experienced players have already “recognized” this situation. Many of them have a special second account for tests. It is from this that they prefer to play on test servers. And if there is not enough gold for a premium tank, then they switch to the main account. A huge amount of experience and credits allows you to open any branch of interest and buy any top tank. After playing several battles on a level 10 tank, the player can decide whether to upgrade to this branch or not.

    However, the test attracts not only players who want to play on new combat vehicles, but also players who like to shoot gold. After all, the test gives out 20,000 gold, which is enough to buy gold shells for hundreds of battles.

    As a rule, the company indicates the time for cutting off the database so that players who have changed their passwords can access the server, as well as the approximate time for stopping the server.     To start testing, you should download a special installer called WoT_internet_install_ct.exe from the section http://worldoftanks.ru/ru/update and run it. The volume of the installer is small - 4.5 MB. But after launching the launcher, the game will begin downloading, which is at least 8.5 gigabytes. In this regard, before downloading and running the installer, free up space on your local disk.

    After installing the test client, just launch it, enter your data and play. Playing on the test is no different from playing on regular servers. Well, the answer to the question of how to play on the WoT test server has been received.

    When it is time to run a public test, an appropriate announcement will be published on the World of Tanks website. Shortly after, the developers will release a test version of the client. This can be downloaded by following. Make sure that you follow all of the instructions carefully, so that you don’t accidentally cause problems to your main play account.

    Your test client account will usually be a copy of your play account, meaning that all the vehicles purchased and the research that you have completed will be the same. However, please note:

    • The test account is completely separate from your normal account. Achievements and research that you complete on the test client will not be carried over to your play account.
    • Financial transactions are not possible on the test server and payments will not be accepted.
    • Depending on the needs of the test, your test account may be credited with gold, credits and/or experience.

    The test server is subject to the same EULA and general rules as the World of Tanks game server. This means that you still need to play nice or you will face the usual consequences in the same way as you would on the official game server.

    All test accounts will receive a one-time credit of:

    • 100,000,000
    • 100,000,000
    • 20,000

    The rate at which you gain credits and experience will not be increased for the test unless stated otherwise in the appropriate announcement.

    Feedback

    Once you have logged into the test client, you are free to play as much or as little as you want. We encourage you to try out all the new features and see what you can do!

    Once you have been playing for a while, please let us know your feedback by posting in the dedicated forum threads. These threads are divided into two categories: bug reports and general feedback about the test version . The appropriate links will be provided in the respective announcement. The community managers will collect up all your responses on the thread and send them to the developers.

    The sort of feedback we are particularly interested in includes:

    • Any bugs or glitches that you have found in the game. Got stuck in the scenery? Game crashes when you do a certain action? Tell us all about it!
    • Honest feedback about vehicles and game mechanics. If you think something doesn’t function well, then please tell us.
    • Anything you particularly like? Do you love the new stats for a previously underpowered vehicle? Confirm to the developers that the community is now satisfied with that feature, letting them focus on other new improvements.

    How to Join the Public Test

    In order to join a test, please follow these instructions:

    1. Download the test client installer (the link will be provided in the announcement)
    2. Make sure you pick a save location that is different to your regular World of Tanks game files. Save and run the installer.
    3. Run the new copy of the game. The launcher will download all the additional data (the amount of data may vary).
    4. Log in and start playing. Remember to post your feedback in the appropriate forum threads.

    Please be aware of the following:

    In order to make the test experience more efficient, it may be necessary to limit the number of players on the test server. If the server is full when you log in, you’ll be placed into a queue.

    The test server will be restarted regularly, according to the following schedule:

    • First Periphery: every EVEN day of the month. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
    • Second Periphery: every ODD day of the month. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
    • Central Database: every day. Average duration will be around 2 or 3 minutes.

    The test server may be subject to unscheduled restarts and maintenance.

    IMPORTANT: Please remember that it is a test server. This means that you may encounter bugs and temporary features. Everything in the test version could change before the final release.

    When we started working on a new graphics engine, HD maps and new sounds, we set ourselves a goal - to create such graphics and sound in the game that when you enter the battle, you are simply stunned and say: this is incredible! This game can't be eight years old!

    Today this moment has come. You can literally immerse yourself in exciting battles on realistic terrain with updated HD maps, atmospheric environmental sounds and original music themes. And that is not all. We not only offer you a new gaming experience in World of Tanks 1.0, but we also invite you to be part of these monumental changes.

    In this article we will talk about what will be tested at this stage, what will be added in the near future, and what you can count on after the update is released on the main servers in March. Go!

    A new level of realism in the game

    Before we explore the update itself, let's take a moment to understand where the game we all love is at right now. More than seven years have passed since the release of “Tanks”. The gameplay remains at the same level (largely thanks to your constant support and feedback), and several hundred battles take place on the servers every second. But do the game's graphics meet modern requirements? Hardly. World of Tanks looks like a game from 2010. Unfortunately it is so.

    We've worked hard over the years to bring the graphics up to modern standards. The development team has improved the game's appearance several times, from switching to new graphics rendering with realistic shading and lighting models to introducing the Audiokinetic Wwise sound engine. However, technology was developing faster than we could adapt to it, and the BigWorld engine simply couldn’t keep up. For this reason, we moved the development of the client engine in-house and created a solution that fits the needs of the game - the Core engine. It will change the look and feel of the game using modern technologies for processing and rendering graphical content, and will provide sufficient foundation for further development of graphics to keep up with technology.

    It took us three years to develop and optimize Core. Another year was spent reworking the maps and recreating the game content from scratch. And now we are finally ready to present it for testing.

    Why did we focus on graphics?

    In fact, work is in full swing on all fronts. We are working on the situation with preferential premium cars, several new nations in the game and new modes. Not to mention several maps that require a complete rework, and those that are awaiting HD transfer.

    We also know how much you have been waiting for new cards, and we are now actively working to expand their list.

    A number of completely new game locations have gone through several stages of supertest over the past year, and we are processing your feedback. We will move from "project design" to balancing and finalizing "Minsk", "Studzianka" and the new Asian map, which were recently in supertest. While these cards won't be released in Patch 1.0, we'll be covering them in a series of review articles.

    As you can see, we are moving forward in all directions, but it is the new graphics and sound that we are ready to present to you. This does not mean that we have stopped working on other key aspects or that we are stopping further work on graphics. Rather, on the contrary, they take the gaming experience to a new level and lay the technical foundation for further improvements.

    Graphics Settings

    When the game switches to a new engine, the graphics settings will be reset to the default state. For this reason, you'll likely notice changes in graphics and performance when you play the game for the first time. Follow this guide to change settings and update the driver to get everything back to normal.

    If you play on medium settings, you may need to switch to low or minimum settings. Don't worry, this won't affect your frame rate. As for the picture quality, you will notice how much realism and detail will increase even at low settings. We've worked hard to optimize stability and frame rates, reduce memory load, and free up resources to enable additional effects. So you can enjoy the new graphics and sound even on medium and weak computers, and high-performance computers will allow you to experience all the innovations in full.

    Attention to detail

    Recreating the original World of Tanks game with improved graphics was a challenging task, and we have asked for your help several times. The new graphics went through a number of iterations and focus tests. Thousands of players helped with the final setup of HD maps in the Sandbox. And now we are approaching the final and most important stage of reworking the game.

    Music, atmosphere, significant balance changes to a number of maps, complete visual reworking of all game locations, destructible objects and effects - World of Tanks looks new. Essentially, it's good old gameplay superimposed on a completely new game world. And like any other game on the eve of such an important update, World of Tanks requires more than a series of regular supertests and general tests.

    For this reason we are launching a beta test:

    • It will allow us to test new content in chunks, closely monitoring performance and your perception of the changes.
    • It's open to everyone so we can gather enough feedback to make any necessary changes.

    Why add new content in stages, why not present everything at once?

    The last thing we want is rushed and disorganized testing, and a sequential design provides a more focused approach. By adding game content in stages, we can test it in a controlled environment, identify problems and solve them as we go.

    In addition, waiting for a regular update to download and install is not very convenient. Now imagine how long it will take to install almost three dozen HD cards and new music at one time.

    We will use a similar approach when we release update 1.0. You can pre-download it and enter the game when the time comes, without delays or long hours of waiting.

    First stage of beta test

    Below is a rundown of the graphical and audio enhancements you can start exploring today:

    29 maps in HD-quality: The transition to the new Core engine led to a complete overhaul of the graphics, in which every object was recreated using new technology. As you get closer to the object, you can count the leaves on the trees and see how they differ from each other in shade, size and shape. The space outside the map now seems limitless. The technology for displaying the surfaces of land and water has changed, providing depth and atmosphere to the places where the battle takes place. You can control your car, triumphantly destroying small objects thanks to the use of Havok technology (wait for it!). Photorealistic skies and moving clouds will create a sense of dynamics on the maps. And global illumination technology will add harmony to the picture, accurately simulating how light is reflected from different surfaces and refracted between them.

    You need to see all this with your own eyes, and right now you can take a look at the screenshots of HD maps in the gallery below. Enjoy, or better yet, go into the game to personally enjoy the new graphics, technologies and effects.

    Balance improvements for a number of cards: Most HD cards didn't require major balance improvements and offered roughly the same gameplay, just with high quality graphics. However, “Erlenberg”, “Kharkov”, “Steppes”, “Ruinberg” and “Fisherman’s Bay” had a noticeable imbalance. We have made significant changes to them to avoid stalling, ensure equal chances for teams to capture key areas and provide interesting gameplay for all types of vehicles. Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing the changes and how they're intended to correct this imbalance. Now it's your turn to test them again and tell us if the changes worked. If not, we will continue to make corrections until everything is right.

    Four original musical themes: The first phase of the beta test mainly focuses on graphics. However, we couldn't resist giving you the opportunity to hear new music. Going forward, each map will receive its own composition with a unique loading screen theme, a dynamic theme that will evolve and change depending on events on the battlefield, and an ending theme for the post-battle statistics screen. By the way, the latter will directly depend on the outcome of the battle with unique music for victory, draw and defeat.

    Ambient sounds: All environmental sounds are reworked to increase the realism of each map. Now you will literally hear the world around you, filled with the sounds of battle. Shots and explosions will sound differently in the forest, in the village and among city buildings. The sounds will echo off the mountains and spread across the fields. What you hear will depend on where you are, where the shot comes from, and what obstacles are in the way of the sound. Just like in life! Even shots will become more realistic: Listen, and you will notice that each flying projectile has its own sound.

    Cards

    List of maps redesigned in HD quality due to the transition to the new Core graphics engine:

    • Globally improved image quality at all settings.
    • Lighting has been completely redesigned and optimized.
    • All buildings have been redrawn in a new quality.
    • The landscape, water and all vegetation have been redesigned in a new quality.
    • High resolution textures are applied to all objects.
    • Reworked the destruction system using Havok® Destruction technology (only works on the following graphics settings: “High”, “Maximum” and “Ultra”).
    • Added effects for equipment getting wet when driving into water (and drying out in the sun), as well as pollution and dust.
    • Added a clearer display of the operation of the tank suspension when overcoming various obstacles.
    • On all maps, the display of the area behind the “red line” has been redone: now the game location is visually perceived as much more spacious and wider. At the same time, the boundaries of the playing area remain the same.
    • The landscape tessellation function is enabled (partially at maximum settings and fully at “Ultra” settings).
    • Track marks on various surfaces have been reworked. Realistic skid marks and punching of various types of soil have also been added.
    • Added procedural generation of grass and bushes, reducing the load on the computer.
    • Now all vegetation reacts to the behavior of your car: grass and foliage sway when you shoot, grass gets crushed when moving over it, etc. Please note: this innovation does not unmask your car in any way, since this animation is visible only to you.
    • Added a new water processing system with geometric waves (tessellation) and SSR (Screen Space Reflection) to simulate reflections in water.
    • The natural model of the behavior of water from contact with it: when crossing a water obstacle, the car “drives a wave”; shells hitting the water cause divergence of circles on the water, ripples, etc.
    • A completely new skyscape was created for each map, and animation of the movement of clouds was added.
    • Added full support for DirectX® 11.
    • Significantly optimized performance and memory consumption.
    • Improved armor hit marks (decals).
    • Smoke and various effects now cast shadows.

    A conceptually new musical design for the game has been introduced. A total of more than 180 musical compositions have been created, which now have a clear regional affiliation with the map on which the battle is about to take place or has ended. Also, the music now interacts interactively with the player and develops based on events on the battlefield.

    So far, in the general test we are using only 4 musical themes, multiplied across all cards. When update 1.0 is released, each card will have its own unique music set, which includes:

    • main theme for the map loading screen;
    • two combat interactive tracks based on the main theme, capable of sounding almost endlessly and without repeating in the arrangement thanks to the capabilities of the sound engine;
    • three ending themes for the battle results screen: victory, draw and defeat.

    The musical logic also changes depending on the type of battle, it is different in a random battle, a ranked battle and in a general battle. In clan or team battles, where voice communication is critical, music does not play during battle so as not to create additional interference in the audio channel.

    Ambient Sound Changes

    • The sounds of the environment and nature have been completely redesigned individually for each map. Nature now sounds rich and natural, while the voice acting has a unique character depending on the location on the map. The sounds made by your vehicles (shots, explosions, clanging tracks, etc.) now change depending on which terrain on the map the fighting takes place: in the mountains, wooded areas, in rural or urban areas, in an open field etc. the same sounds will sound differently.
    • Run the installer, which will download and install the test version of the client 1.0 (8.73 GB for the SD version and 15.4 GB for the HD version). When you run the installer, it will automatically offer to install the test client in a separate folder on your computer; You can also specify the installation directory yourself.
    • If you have the previous test version installed (9.22_test2), then when you launch the general test launcher it will be updated: 5.36 GB for the SD version and 7.49 GB for the HD version.
    • Please note: Installing in a folder containing legacy test client files may cause technical problems.
    • Run the installed test version.
    • Only those players who registered in World of Tanks before 23:59 (Moscow time) on February 4, 2018 can take part in the test.

    We would also like to inform you that during testing of 1.0, scheduled technical work will be carried out on the test servers (25 minutes per server):

    • First server - 05:00 (Moscow time)
    • Second server - 05:30 (Moscow time)
    • Third server - 06:00 (Moscow time)
    • Note! The test server is subject to the same rules as the main game server, and therefore penalties for violating these rules apply in accordance with the License Agreement.
    • We remind you: the most reliable way to download the World of Tanks client, as well as its test versions and updates, is on the official game portal. By downloading a game from other sources, you expose your computer to the risk of malware infection.
