Levitation- this is the soaring of a person in the air, which occurs at his request. Yogis know how to levitate and every person can learn, but for this you need to undergo a course of certain training.
Walking on water, as if on dry land, is not fundamentally different from levitation. Many yogis can walk on water. But for this, preliminary preparation must be deeper and more thorough than in the case of simple levitation.
A careful acquaintance with the phenomena studied in parapsychology, as well as with the nature of the preparation for mastering the art of levitation and walking on water, shows that all these phenomena are based on the same physical mechanism. Some hints of this mechanism can be seen in the phenomenon of the poltergeist, where sometimes human movements in the air are also observed, but only without his knowledge and desire [TRP, p.517].
Poltergeist.
Poltergeist, translated from ancient German, means a noisy, playing, mischievous spirit. This anciently known effect manifests itself in extremely diverse forms, which makes it extremely difficult to study and understand.
Various noises, voices, and knocks occur in or near a residential building. All kinds of objects move and fly, furniture moves or falls, safety plugs are turned out of the electrical panel, pieces of parquet jump out of the floor and fly around the rooms, and not always in a straight line. Metal objects bend and break, dishes and chandeliers break, light bulbs explode. Electrical devices, electronic equipment, telephones turn on or off spontaneously, locks open, taps on kitchen gas stoves close, boiling kettles and pots of food are overturned. A person can feel soft blows, tickling, pricks, smooth transfers through the air.
Objects are transferred through the walls of houses, glass windows, the walls of cabinets and refrigerators without damaging them. Sometimes objects become invisible, then suddenly appear right in the air in another place, then fall or fly further. Jets of water appear from the air and flood the room; stones fall from the air or from the ceiling onto the floor. Paper and books combust spontaneously, as well as clothes on a hanger or in public. All the clocks suddenly begin to rush sharply, going many hours ahead (this also happened with previous clocks), or they lag behind or stop, including even such as Big Ben.
Inscriptions of an offensive, threatening or informational nature appear on walls, window glass and paper. A person can enter into informational contact with an invisible poltergeist object and receive answers from the past, present and future, sometimes very accurate. Images appear in the air, through which the hand passes freely, but these images are not necessarily seen by everyone present. In response to the question posed, a plot similar to a movie from the past, present or future is shown on the wall or door of the refrigerator.
This list can be continued indefinitely - the manifestations of poltergeists are so diverse. Countless numbers of such observations have accumulated over the past millennia; thousands of articles and many books have been written on this topic. Abroad, the corresponding effects were captured on film. We have now also collected huge statistics on the poltergeist problem (for example, V.N. Fomenko in Moscow). Noteworthy is the sharp increase in the number of poltergeist cases recently.
It has been established that manifestations of poltergeists most often have the nature of petty hooliganism, for which the law requires 15 days of arrest, but they are never accompanied by self-harm or death of a person. A poltergeist is usually attached to a specific person or persons and often follows them when trying to change their location.
The main conclusion from all that has been said is that poltergeists are a real fact and cannot be dismissed. In principle, it is also impossible to give it a scientific interpretation, relying on known physical, chemical and other laws - modern science is not yet mature for this. From the above list I would like to highlight the following observational facts.
The discussed invisible objects that generate poltergeists (and without the presence of such objects the phenomenon cannot be explained) freely penetrate walls and any other obstacles. This means that they have a high metrical subtlety in comparison with our chronal-metric world, that is, to a certain extent they are “smeared” within this world.
Cases of providing a person with reliable information from the past, present and future also indicate the great chronal subtlety of objects, their certain “spread out” in our time, or the ability to receive information through an extra-chronal line.
The fact of the sudden appearance of water, stones and other objects in a closed room indicates the ability of objects to synthesize corresponding bodies from vacuum, air or other available substances. It is clear that reverse processes should also be available to these objects: the transformation of bodies into vacuum, air and other substances. Another physical mechanism may also be involved in this problem: the objects under discussion are capable of not only penetrating through any barriers themselves, but also endowing the bodies of our chronometric world with this fantastic property. This teleportation mechanism, surprisingly simple in its content, is discussed in paragraph 10 of Chapter. XXVII.
Consequently, poltergeist objects must have and control the enormous energy necessary for the synthesis and decomposition of substances, and must be able to extend their influence to very subtle worlds, down to individual molecules, atoms, elementary particles, etc. It becomes clear why a person’s clothes spontaneously ignite, but he does not feel the warmth; the same thing happens when boiling water gets on the body, walking barefoot on burning coals, lying on ice, etc.
Thanks to the high energy, the above-mentioned holographic effect takes on a special meaning, since even a small part of a smeared object, containing all its characteristic features, has great intensity and effectiveness. The powerful energy of the object, including chronal energy, leads to a sharp acceleration of the clock, which corresponds to a large chronal and slow real time.
Thanks to the special subtlety and blurriness of objects inside our world and us and the ability to influence individual atoms, molecules, cells, etc. these objects are capable of creating a wide variety of parapsychological effects in our minds, ranging from instilling feelings of surprise, fear and horror to inspiring those images in the air and on the screen mentioned above. However, not everyone sees the images. This can be explained either by the reluctance of the object to show them to anyone, or by the presence in certain individuals of a corresponding block that protects their consciousness from the penetration of poltergeist objects (remember that the poltergeist himself is not attached to everyone, but only to very specific individuals).
Observations show that not only a poltergeist, but also parapsychological abilities, the ability to levitate and walk on water, etc. - all this can be tied to individuals who, by their way of life, thoughts and actions, voluntarily or involuntarily, open channels of communication with the corresponding subtle worlds. It is these connections that are the main reason for the occurrence of the phenomena under discussion; they make these phenomena related.
A purely parapsychological explanation - through the influence of the subtle worlds on consciousness - can also have facts of the disappearance of objects in one place and appearance in another. With the help of parapsychology, it would also be possible to explain the appearance of water and stones, but in some other similar cases discussed below, such an explanation does not work, therefore it is not possible to do without the idea of teleportation or the synthesis and decomposition of substances.
Finally, poltergeist objects cannot be denied reasonable behavior. After all, they sometimes provide a person with very accurate information from the past, present and future. Very often they show extraordinary creativity, intelligence and humor. And the very fact of choosing to demonstrate precisely those effects that most expressively oppose our philistine, worldview and scientific prejudices, dogmas and common sense - after all, this is also worth something!
From these brief comments it should be clear why modern science is unable to explain poltergeist phenomena [TRP, pp. 517-520].
Phenomena from the book of miracles.
Some phenomena that fully deserve to be classified as poltergeists are for some reason usually considered separately and classified as miracles. I will give just a few examples from the most interesting book by J. Michell and R. Rickard. In it, each chapter is accompanied by our domestic comments, but you don’t have to read them, because they have nothing to do with the essence of the matter.
The following “miracle” is very characteristic: “In a school near the ruler’s house in Madras, bricks fell for at least five days in the presence of thirty observers.” On March 5, 1888, the Madras Mail reported that the priests recommended marking one fallen brick with a white cross and placing it in the center of the classroom. To everyone's amazement, "a brick of the same size, but with a black cross, fell on the first brick, and with such precision that it did not even fall off it."
In many other cases, events took place outdoors. For example, stones fell near a girl walking in the area; the police could not detect any intruders in the clear sky.
However, of greatest interest to us are examples of various living creatures falling from the sky in clear weather, in particular a huge variety of fish or frogs, all of them having exactly the same size. Sometimes a farmer discovers a thick layer of fish on his property, exactly within its boundaries.
It is obvious that in the first case the poltergeist was attached to one of the persons present in the class, in the second - to a girl, in the third - to a farmer or one of his family members. The last “miracle” is especially interesting because it demonstrates the ability of the subtle worlds to synthesize not only water, stones and bricks, but also some living beings, which is important for understanding the next phenomenon - UFOs [TRP, p.521].
UFOs in the old days.
Unidentified flying objects (UFOs), or flying saucers, or Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), are a phenomenon that has been observed throughout human history and manifests itself in forms no less kaleidoscopically diverse than the poltergeist. If a poltergeist invades only the sphere of everyday life and does not go beyond the boundaries of the house and yard, then the UFO demonstration, on the contrary, is of a clearly public, mass nature - it occurs outside the house, most often in the sky, and sometimes attracts the attention of the population of an entire city.
In this sense, ball lightning occupies an intermediate position between a poltergeist and a UFO, since it is found both in houses and in the environment. It has already been said that ball lightning exhibits strongly pronounced chronal properties (see paragraph 24 of Chapter XVIII). It has great energy, affects electronic devices, passes through obstacles, is capable of exploding, disappearing, itself glows, but does not illuminate the area, etc. Sometimes in its actions one can discern elements of purposeful (intelligent) behavior. In some ways, ball lightning resembles a poltergeist, in others it resembles a UFO. But since the poltergeist and the UFO, as we will see, have the same nature, ball lightning must obey the same laws.
It is interesting to look at the comparative evolution of the two most characteristic phenomena external to man, such as poltergeists and UFOs, in the course of the development of human civilization. It has already been noted that the poltergeist mainly covers domestic life with the inevitable room, kitchen, stove, etc. The latter undergo relatively slow changes over time, therefore the poltergeist changes little, only gradually being supplemented with some innovations, for example, a telephone, a refrigerator, a television and so on.
In contrast, a UFO invades the social existence of civilization, which is most characteristically represented in religious cults, military operations, means of transportation, etc. In the course of the evolution of mankind, means of transport change the most, scientific and technical knowledge accumulates. In accordance with this, the character of the UFO is transformed. This is clearly seen, for example, from the book of X. Piens, which contains descriptions of UFOs from ancient times to the present day.
In hoary antiquity, the sky showed fire, flaming torches, togas (cloaks), pillars and shields engulfed in flames, circles, crosses, arches, rectangles, images in the form of horns, the moon, the sun, chariots, and warring armies. All this terrified the audience and was perceived as bad omens.
From the beginning of our era, displays of warring armies continued, images of ships with sails, flaming crosses, women, swords, and flaming disks appeared. Towards the end of the first millennium, flying ships began to lower an anchor on a rope, people walked along it to the ground, some of them were lynched, in other cases they managed to cut off the rope and fly away. Cigar-shaped ships, columns, etc. appear.
At the beginning of the second millennium, UFOs in the shape of a cigar, drum, pyramid, etc. were observed. Then crosses, glowing rods, etc. appeared. We saw dragons on chariots and a huge eagle. In the middle of our millennium, UFOs began to be observed landing on the ground, which left corresponding traces, which very frightened people.
In the 16th century UFOs in the shape of a hat have already been observed. Military actions of phenomena such as balls and arches were shown, they absorbed each other, arrows and darts flew around. In the 17th century saw the first nlonauts (humanoids) dressed in togas. The 18th century was characterized by fireballs and a huge snake appearing. We saw a hot air balloon type ship with a man coming out of it. In the 19th century group aerobatics of UFOs were noted, a cross, a fiery disk, a dish, an airship with a huge wheel in the form of a fan and with passengers on board were shown. Exposures from UFOs began, and there were cases of body paralysis.
A huge wave of UFO sightings such as balls, disks and cigars swept across the United States in 1897. Traces of UFO landings on the ground were observed. Numerous meetings of humanoids with people took place. The humanoids were dressed in a modern way, they had a good command of the language, their height ranged from 1.2 to 3 m. Human figures were noted floating in the air. They saw a ship with wings, another ship had extendable wings and six cylindrical wheels, three on each side.
Our century on June 30, 1908 was marked by a powerful explosion of the Tunguska UFO. On May 13, 1917, in Portugal, near the town of Cova de Irna, the Virgin appeared to shepherd children, then this was repeated in front of a large crowd of people on the 13th of each month, this show ended on October 13, when a disk-shaped UFO appeared near the town of Fatima. There were many other observations [TRP, pp. 521-523].
7. Modern UFO and OT.
The beginning of the modern UFO era (boom) is considered to be June 24, 1947, when American businessman K. Arnold was flying his own plane near Mount Rainier in Washington state and saw a chain of objects in the air, flat as frying pans. This observation by Arnold was followed by a “saucer epidemic”, panics, investigations, bans with penalties of fines and prison, but this whole epic ended with the creation of many research groups and institutes, and the military became especially interested in saucers. The USA was followed by other countries: Australia, England, Grenada, Italy, China, France, Japan, etc.
It is very interesting that recently the frequency of UFO sightings has increased enormously. For example, according to a CIA memorandum declassified in 1977, satellite tracking systems detect from 5 to 900 UFOs daily. These mysterious objects show us the most incredible pictures and “tricks”, completely inexplicable from the standpoint of modern science. At the same time, upon careful examination, a clearly defined line can be traced throughout this entire kaleidoscopic extravaganza, which tends to lead away from the correct understanding of the phenomenon. But we will talk about this later, and now I will add a few more new characteristic facts and their interpretations from the standpoint of OT.
In recent years, cases of UFO explosions with traces in the form of metal fragments have become more frequent. For example, in the summer of 1957, a disk-shaped UFO exploded over the beach in Ubatuba, and fragments were picked up by fishermen. A chemical analysis performed twice showed pure magnesium, then a few years later a small admixture of strontium was found in the fragments, and after another 10 years the analysis gave a different result.
UFO explosions leaving fragments were also observed in our country. On two occasions I had the opportunity to study in detail the properties, especially the chronal properties, of these fragments. One of them has already been mentioned in paragraph 9 of Chapter. XVIII (Kola Peninsula, December 1981). The second incident occurred on January 29, 1986 near Dalnegorsk on Mount Izvestkova (height 611 m); it is described in detail in the article. I received from the author V.V. Twin-core samples of fragments (lead “iron balls”, “mesh”), siliceous rock, burnt stump, damaged rhododendron branch, etc. Here I want to draw attention only to the following chemical analysis data given in the article: “In the “mesh”, disappearance and appearance of elements are observed. So, before heating in a vacuum, X-ray diffraction analysis showed gold, silver and nickel. But after warming up they... disappeared. Although nothing evaporated or melted (recorded by an electron microscope). Where did the three elements go? But molybdenum appeared, which was not there at all. In addition, beryllium sulfide appeared, an unstable compound that ignites spontaneously in air. And after five months, barely perceptible traces of the sulfide remained."
The so-called Vashk find should also be included in this class of phenomena. In the summer of 1976, on the banks of the Vashka River in the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, fishermen found a piece of metal; it consisted mainly of rare earth elements - cerium, lanthanum and neodymium and had unusual properties. For example, the metal contained isotopes, but there were no traces of their decay, which is not observed in nature.
According to press reports, a large amount of debris and even entire UFOs, as well as dead crew members, are available in the United States. One of the first UFOs crashed on July 2, 1947, near Roswell, New Mexico. Pilots of disc-shaped UFOs are usually about 1.2 m tall, the head is disproportionately large, the eyes are narrow and wide-set, the nose is a small bulge with one or two holes, the mouth is also a small hole, the ears are small depressions, the arms are long, knee-length, genitals organs are missing. The pictures showed a brush with claws instead of nails, etc.
UFOs sometimes develop colossal accelerations, reaching tens of thousands of accelerations of gravity g; fly silently in air and water at supersonic speeds, often along a zigzag trajectory; hover motionlessly over a certain point on the earth's surface; when trying to approach a landed UFO, a person sometimes encounters an elastic, repulsive barrier and experiences sensations like the chronal field of a “hedgehog” (see paragraph 28 of Chapter XVIII), etc.
A lot of strange things happen with light: the visible beam of light sent by a UFO is hollow and breaks off in space, is drawn into the UFO, or even bends at a right angle; the external light of lanterns and car headlights is extinguished, sunlight becomes ghostly due to the unusual spectral composition; The UFO itself glows brightly, but does not illuminate the area, its light is not reflected from the mirror and passes freely through obstacles, and people in the irradiated plane sometimes look at each other’s skeletons in surprise; a metallic UFO can change its shape and size, sometimes expanding to cover half the sky; in 90% of cases, UFOs are not amenable to radar, etc. This and many other similar information can be found in the extensive ufological literature, in particular in Campbell's excellent review.
The listed facts relate to the scientific and technical side of the UFO problem; Almost all of them do not fit into our theoretical ideas and common sense. However, most of them can be easily explained in terms of OT.
According to OT, a previously unknown chronal phenomenon plays a major role in the described observations. For example, by increasing the flow of real time in the device using a chronal field J(see formula (312)) by 100 times, during acceleration we will reduce the inertial force acting on the apparatus and its inhabitants by 10,000 times. A chronal beam directed from a UFO along the flight path charges the medium with chronal matter, its molecules push apart, and the device moves in air or water silently and with minimal friction inherent in a vacuum. At the same time, from an energy point of view, flight along a broken (zigzag) trajectory turns out to be more economical, since high accelerations during turns are not dangerous for the device, and the volume released from the environment is minimal. In interstellar space, the chronal beam will save the device from collisions with cosmic dust and other particles.
The motionless and silent hovering of the UFO is explained by its “movement due to internal forces,” that is, the presence of a supportless propulsion device. But near the ground, a UFO usually hovers, leaning on a repulsive chronal beam-pillar. In order not to fall on the pole, three or four inclined beams or hollow cone beams are launched from the UFO: they stabilize the position of the UFO in the horizontal plane. When taking off, a UFO usually first rises above terrestrial obstacles on a beam, and then turns on its main engines and often immediately disappears from view, because at accelerations of more than 20 g the eye practically does not perceive objects. A chronally charged central trace from the chronal column and three or four lateral spots or one or two concentric rings from the stabilizing rays remain on the ground. The soil is very highly charged, so a long stay in a fresh planting site can lead to illness, which I experienced more than once, or even death.
The chronal field of a UFO stops internal combustion engines, disrupts the operation of electronic devices, changes the chronal (course of time) of charged bodies; this is recorded by mechanical, electronic and radioisotope clocks, etc. The chronal field also greatly changes the frequency and speed of photons. For example, visible external light is transferred to the invisible infrared region (lanterns and headlights are “extinguished”), and invisible gamma rays sent by UFOs become visible, but their penetrating ability, determined by the photon energy, is retained. As a result, the light of the UFO (and ball lightning) is not reflected, but penetrates the mirror and the area. In the non-uniform chronal field of a UFO, visible rays bend or break off in space; entering the eye from a varying angle of view, they create the impression of a change in the shape and size of the UFO; a bent and changed frequency beam sent from the Earth is not perceived by the radar receiver, etc.
In the facts of a scientific and technical nature presented here, deciphered with the help of OT, one can see a clear hint at the alien origin of UFOs, at the actions of aliens who are at a higher level of development than human civilization, because in their ships they widely used a chronal unknown to people phenomenon, and unknown unsupported propulsors, and much more that is required for long space flights. I could be glad that OT was able to look so far ahead and received indirect confirmation in such a beautiful and romantic form.
However, such joy would be too premature. There are a lot of things that are alarming. For example, UFO fragments clearly look absurd. After all, it’s hard to believe that the body of a spacecraft was made of pure magnesium, as in Ubatuba. Continuous and spontaneous changes in the composition of fragments, as in Ubatuba and on Mount Limestone at an altitude of 611 m, seem completely meaningless. The composition of the metal of the Vashki find is also alarming. I think that from entire UFOs, if they are available in the United States, it will also not be possible to extract any other useful information other than what will be discussed below.
All this leads to sad thoughts that the alien origin of UFOs is only a disguise, a decoy, and the true meaning and purpose of the phenomenon lies in something else. Many people are now willing to accept this bait, pinning their hopes on help to suffering humanity from the higher cosmic mind. The idea of camouflage and decoy is further strengthened if we turn to the phenomena that accompany the UFO, occurring in, around and around it. I will briefly mention several phenomena of this kind.
There is evidence of abductions, some have even been inside a UFO. They tell incredible stories about how the internal volume of a UFO turns out to be immeasurably larger than the external one, that the interior changes greatly during the visit, etc. When a UFO appears, people are often attacked by fear and horror; even earlier, animals begin to rush about, moo and bleat, dogs tuck their tails between their legs and hide. All sorts of luminous and dark figures appear and disappear in the air and on the ground, sometimes such a figure looks like a three-meter giant without a head, etc. In photographs taken during the day, there may be no image; in photographs taken at night, luminous transparent balls, circles, and flashes sometimes appear; the same thing happened when developing film that was not removed from the backpack at all, was not unpacked and was not seen by the camera. Something similar happened when recording UFO sound signals on a tape recorder, but the same recording was found on unpacked magnetic tapes, etc.
All this nonsense comes in endless variations. It intrigues and fascinates the researcher, forcing him to repeat experiments again and again in the hope of finding the answer to this stunning mystery of the century, a mystery on a cosmic scale that is constantly slipping away. But being carried away by this absurdity does not give any other result than that a person forgets everything in the world, plunges headlong into this world of illusions and delirium, and sometimes even loses his mind. Here is what the famous American journalist J.A. writes about this. Keel, who has been studying UFOs since 1945: “My mail is filled with letters calling for help, and I am forced to watch the deterioration of the witnesses, many of whom have already reached the point of insanity, and some have committed suicide.” More than once I have seen such fanatics with feverishly shining eyes, obsessed with the idea of finally revealing the burning secret of the UFO [TRP, pp. 523-528].
Perhaps the most difficult questions in the life of a Christian are those that concern his personal practical life. There is no doubt that when Christ takes the righteous to Himself in Heavenly Jerusalem, they will demonstrate perfect character. But with regard to the extent to which the power of God can transform a person now, the answers are not so clear-cut. I hope that the following study will shed some light on this issue as well.
So, the background is this: Jesus commanded the disciples to sail to the sea, and He Himself remained on the shore to pray. “And the boat was in the middle of the sea, and was tossed with waves, because the wind was contrary” (Matthew 14:24). Next we read:

What caused their confusion? It is a fact that a person made of flesh and blood cannot walk on water. You cannot learn to walk on water through any training or spiritual exercises; this is the law of nature. The disciples are simple people, and their natural assumption was that only a ghost could be walking in front of them among the stormy sea. However, they were wrong here. Then how did Jesus Christ manage to do this? Maybe because He is not just a Man? Modern Christians, having a wealth of knowledge behind them, have long ago learned this, unlike the always doubting disciples, that Christ is not only the Son of Man, but also the Son of God, God Himself, the Creator of the Universe (Heb. 1:2). But for Almighty God nothing is impossible, and therefore He could not only walk on water, but if He needed it, also under water, and through the air, and through walls. Maybe that’s why He performed many miracles, including the one that is the subject of these thoughts? Or the reason for Christ’s miracles lies on a completely different plane: Christ did not know sin, and as some think, He had a different human nature, different from ours, i.e. not sinful, which is also important. And if this is the correct way of reasoning, then for us, of course, unlike short-sighted students, there is nothing surprising here. However, the Evangelist Matthew continues his story.

The voice of Christ quickly calmed the disciples. Once again they were delighted with the limitless capabilities of their Teacher, for Whom, it seemed, there were no barriers. And as always, Peter was probably the quickest to assess the situation, who was perhaps a little jealous of Jesus’ ability to work miracles.

Only years later, probably as a gray-haired old man having achieved considerable success in growing faith, can we begin to walk through shallow puddles, gradually increasing their depth, but not immediately throw ourselves into the raging sea in the hope of repeating what only the Son of God can do... But, as you know , Jesus said none of this. His answer was terse.

They say that such miracles require very, very strong faith. Which of course implies that faith has different dimensions. There is a kind of faith with which you can begin to walk on water, and there is one that allows you to perform more ordinary, modest deeds. They refer to the text from the letter of the Apostle Paul to Romans 12:3 “Do not think more highly of yourself than you ought to think; but think modestly, according to the measure of faith that God has allocated to everyone.” If so, then there must be such units of measurement with which one could measure faith, just as a person is used to measuring distance or mass. Having defined it, we could, for example, know whether we could perform the same miracle as Christ and then Peter did - walking on water. Does such a value exist?
Exists. Jesus Christ suggests measuring the amount of faith in... mustard seeds!

Christ defined a unit of measurement of faith that is both minimal (what less could a person of that time imagine than a mustard seed?) and maximum (“nothing will be impossible for you”). In other words, if a person has at least some faith, it is quite enough to move mountains and walk on water. Lest there be any doubt, at another time Jesus spoke more clearly:

How many people do we know among Christians who walk on waters and move mountains from place to place out of boredom? And this is what many people think when they read passages like Matthew 17:20 or Mark 9:23 for the first time. And, as often happens, when a person is unable to solve a riddle, he forgets about it, coming up with more vital explanations, or completely forgetting about it. As if Christ didn’t say anything, or didn’t say it to us, mere mortals...

In fact, such bewilderment arises from an incorrect, non-Christian concept of faith. When people hear the word “faith,” they understand “self-hypnosis,” “motivation.” You need to thoroughly convince yourself that what you want will happen (i.e. “believe”), and then it will happen. For example, if a person “unshakably believes” that he will not get sick, then he will not get sick. If he believes that he will become rich, i.e. “motivate” yourself to do this, focusing on this goal, then you will become rich. If he believes that he can win at cards, then he will certainly win, he will successfully rob the cash register, then he will rob... Such faith, of course, has nothing to do with biblical faith. Because true Christian faith is always an attitude, an appeal not to one’s own, but to God’s will and faith that God’s will will be fulfilled. Therefore, Peter showed faith when he turned to Christ: “command me...”. Peter said this because he understood that he could not do this on his own; as a fisherman, he knew no worse than others that it was impossible to walk on water, but he had faith in His Teacher. For Christ, nothing is impossible, and if He COMMANDS Peter to go, then he will certainly go, and even fly, if necessary, not because Peter wants it that way, but because Christ wants it too. Peter had a unique opportunity to know God's will in the most direct way; he asked Christ directly and received an answer. But one has to doubt that it is God’s will that we move mountains with one glance in order to please our vanity. And Christ, it is worth noting, never moved mountains. He wanted to draw people's attention to the limitless possibilities of faith consistent with the will of God. But everything is clear with Peter, but what should we do? How can Matthew 17:20 be fulfilled in our lives? After all, now we do not have the opportunity to directly ask Jesus Christ, as Peter did. Does this mean that we cannot have any faith? Not at all. For us, God left Holy Scripture, in which, among other things, there are places that we call “promises.” And since God promises, it means that it will be so, and it will come true in our lives if we only believe in Him. What does it mean to believe? And to believe is to walk on water. And Peter went. And we read on.

When Peter stepped foot into the water, he was aware of his complete dependence on Christ, but after taking a few timid steps, Peter’s thoughts became confused. Did he think about what a great disciple of Christ he was, since he turned out to be able to do something that is impossible for a person? Or that he obviously has hidden abilities that have only now been discovered, or maybe Peter simply realized how defenseless he was in the face of a stormy sea; if the ability to walk on water was lost, he would simply drown. Be that as it may, all these thoughts distracted Peter from Christ, thanks to whom all this came true. And he began to drown. What did Christ answer him? Did He tell Peter that he should not have asked for a miraculous gift - the ability to walk on water, without having sufficient faith and spiritual practice for this? No. We read:

So, what was the reason that Peter began to drown? In his physical nature, which does not allow him to walk on water? But Christ took upon himself this difficulty. Christ takes upon himself what is impossible for man. So what's the reason? Christ points it out: “Why did you doubt?” Peter lost his faith!
Why did God give this passage from Holy Scripture? Why did Christ walk on water? Why did He allow Peter to do this? Satisfy his ambition? No. Christ wanted to teach the disciples and us who study the Gospel the most important thing: to live by faith.
What does God want from us? So that a person forsakes all sin. Can a person do this? The answer is clear. Man cannot help but sin. That's his nature. And no matter how hard one tries to sin as little as possible, a person cannot stop sinning altogether. They say that we can gradually give up our sinful tendencies. This is great arrogance! For a person born a sinner, this is as useless an exercise as learning to walk on water. And the Bible says: Jer. 13:32 “Can an Ethiopian change his skin, or a leopard his spots? So, can you do good if you are accustomed to doing evil?” But what is not possible for man is it an obstacle for God? Who can not only walk on water himself, but if he commands, he will make it so that an ordinary person can walk, but under one condition only. To do this you need to have faith!
God has the will for us to forsake all sin. This is why He died on the cross. Do we believe that God can free us from this? They say it is IMPOSSIBLE, they say it takes TIME. But only those who do not have faith say this. That is, they blame a person for his sinful actions on his sinful fallen nature, which prompts him to do evil. But for God, the sinful nature is not an obstacle to making a person able not to sin, just as physical nature was not an obstacle to making Peter able to walk on water. But, they will say, doesn’t it happen that the righteous stumble and fall, and commit sin again. It happens that Peter, as we read, began to drown while walking on water. But physical, like sinful nature, has nothing to do with it, only our faith or lack thereof, and this depends not on our nature, but on our conscious choice. And if it happens that we leave faith, like Peter, and begin to drown in the abyss of sin, then we must again extend the hand of faith to Christ in order to walk further on the waters. If we look at our feet and think, like Peter, about the raging elements, about how invincible human sin is, then we will drown in the abyss of sin. If we think about our successes in overcoming some sins, the result will be no less sad. The Bible warns:

Why did God give this episode from Holy Scripture? Why did Christ allow Peter to walk on water? Satisfy his ambition? No. Christ wanted to teach his disciples the most important things. Live by faith.
Someone may think to themselves that all this walking on water is nonsense. It is quite enough to attend Saturday meetings, run some errands, have no obvious bad habits, and be no worse than other Christians in everything. For such people, I would like to remind you of the words of Christ: “unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” And the scribes and Pharisees are those who fulfilled the letter of God’s law to perfection. Paul wrote about his life as a Pharisee that he was “blameless in the righteousness of the law” (Phil. 3:6). However, this is not enough for God. So the path to the Kingdom of God is too difficult? No, because Christ was talking about something completely different. The scribes and Pharisees had everything except a connection with God through faith. They didn't know how to walk on water.
In Revelation 15:2,3 we read about 144 thousand righteous people who stood “as on a sea of glass.” The question arises: why did the sea turn out to be “like glass”? These are people over whom sin has ceased to have power. They were the winners.

I want to encourage you - God never fails. He can't fail. But in order to receive an answer when we really, really need it, we must be obedient to Him. In my life, God often responds moments before the critical moment. Therefore, although I often face many problems, I believe in miracles. Do you believe it? Let me point out two things.
1. God does not perform miracles alone! He needs people involved in these miracles. When He miraculously fed 5,000 people, the first thing He needed were those 5,000 hungry people, as well as 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. When He walked on the water, the storm and the disciples were also involved in the miracle. In order for your miracle to happen, God needs you to be a part of that miracle.
2. You don't get a miracle without having a problem! If that boat had not been at sea in a storm, there would not have been a miracle with Jesus walking on the water. If you want to see a miracle, God will use the crisis you are in to perform a miracle.
Each of us can be caught in a storm like the one the disciples experienced in the boat. When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water, their first reaction was fear, they thought they were seeing a ghost. The fear was intensified by the understanding that their boat was about to sink and they would not survive the night. It seems to happen to us too - at the most difficult hour of your night, when you have big financial problems, when your illness is complicated, when you are in pain or you cannot get rid of alcohol or drug addiction, at this difficult moment there is only Jesus, who will always be with you. And for some reason He chooses the most difficult moment to come and work a miracle for you.
But in order to this miracle of walking on water happened for you, you need to be a disciple of Jesus. As the situation escalated, Jesus' disciples heard him say, "It is I, do not be afraid." Peter said, "Is it really You? (Meaning: Jesus, Are You here? I need a miracle, I can't wait). If it's You, tell me to get out of the boat, I'll know it's You if I can walk on the water." . Then Peter got out of the boat, at the most difficult moment of the night, in the midst of the storm, he really walked on the waves!
Whatever the crisis in your life - be it sin, addiction, demonic influence, a broken home, illness or financial problems - in the moment of your greatest suffering and pain, Jesus does not forget about you. He walks next to you. But at the same time, Jesus calls you to get rid of your sin, your sickness. Will you cry out in response, “Jesus, if it really is You, call me and I will come”? How many people will trade the relative safety of their crisis to actually ride the waves by looking to Jesus?
Don't pay attention to pain or circumstances, look to Jesus! Peter did not see the storm, he did not realize that it was impossible to walk on water. As long as his gaze was directed to Jesus, there was no problem. Then, suddenly, he looked down, saw water, heard the wind, and then, taking his eyes away from Jesus, he began to drown. Don't look at the devil. Keep your focus on Jesus. As long as you look to Him, you will not drown, you will never go to the bottom!
As Peter began to drown, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” - and at the same moment Jesus reached out his hand and lifted him up. Even in the moment when you are drowning in the middle of your miracle, having taken your eyes off the Lord, Jesus is close to you to save you. All you have to do is cry out in faith, “Jesus, help me?”
