Death of the Titans. How the biggest spaceships died in EVE Online

Salvager

Introduction

When you carry out combat missions and destroy enemy ships, what remains of them are skeletons, the so-called wrecks. In them you can find so-called loot, but what to do with it is up to you, you can sell it, you can throw it into recycling. So about the skeletons, they can also be assembled, but for this you will need some skill and a specially equipped ship. So let's get started.

Vreki

All recs are divided into both weight and color categories. Colors are blue, white and yellow. Weight – small (Small), medium (Medium) and large (Large).

Let's start with colors:
  • Whites are yours, members of your corporation, members of your fleet. True, there may be a problem here, if the pilot whose mission you are carrying out is not in your corporation, but is in the same fleet as you, then when collecting the contents of the carcass or salvaging it, you will get aggression. The truth is, it doesn’t happen every time you get there.
  • Yellow - skeletons that belong to another player who is not part of the corporation in which you are a member (but may be in your alliance), as well as any other player who destroyed non-written characters (NPC). If such a wreck is not empty, then the aggression timer towards the pilot from whom you are collecting this skeleton is turned on. In this case, the pilot can hit you in the neck, if of course he has enough strength. Well, if it’s empty, then you won’t receive any aggression from the owner.
  • Blue ones are rivers that were abandoned or given for free use. Anyone who wants can take them.
And now about the weight categories:
  • Small are the wrecks of destroyed Frigates, Destroyers, or non-piss drones (not to be confused with player drones such as Hornets).
  • Medium are the ships of the Cruser and BattleCruser classes.
  • Large (Large) are the skeletons of ships of the BattleShip class and above.

Also, each wreck has its own name, for example - Guristas Despoiler Wreck, where the name of the wreck comes first, and in square brackets is the ticker of the corporation to which the wreck belongs. Also, if you open information about the skeleton, you will see the face of the pilot who leaves this or that wreck.

Salo

Lard is a derivative name for what you collect from wrecked ships. It drops out randomly and each faction has its own separate type of lard, and the remaining types are repeated for everyone. Just like ships and modules, lard has technological categories T1 and T2. The difference between them is color and price, although some lard is simply cheap. Below is the T1 lard plate.

Ship

In principle, you can choose any ship for lard extraction. True, it depends on the situation in which it will be used. If this is a slow agentran in high-sec (system status 0.5 - 1.0), then you can assemble a specialized ship, for example a destroyer, which will have several salvagers, tractors, hold expanders, an engine and improvised modules to improve the quality of salvaging. If you have time or an alt (second character), then you can train up to the ship Noctis, which specializes in salvage and has a bonus for the range of tractors. I agree, you will have to spend money, but then you will not experience some inconvenience. If you like to scan and go through complexes, then be guided by the tank and damage of your ship, as well as by the passage time and the possibility of NPCs appearing when the salvager opens containers (yes, you didn’t make a mistake with the salvager, there are those). And finally, emergency situations, for example PVP in low-sec (system status 0.4 - 0.1), where you need to do everything quickly, then a free high-slot of the ship will come to your aid, into which nothing except a salvager can fit (if this work does not fall on people more specialized in this in the gang). I can’t tell you anything about zeros (system status 0.0), because it has its own system of problems, in which you may also end up losing.

Modules

The module for collecting skeletons is called Salvager I, there is also a more advanced version of it - Salvager II.

Ship booster

Afterburner or Micro Warp Drive?!
But here you can be guided by the type of missions and the situation in general. Yes, this is an undeniably necessary thing, but what exactly to choose, a little testing of the modules will help you, install both if you are an agent in high-sec and see on the spot what will work. If it’s low or zero, where speed is important, then MWD is undeniable (as sad as it may sound, the Evangelists call it MWD).

Tractor

Small Tractor Beam I is something like a magnet that can attract white and blue containers and containers hanging in space. This is of course a very useful thing, but with a drawback. Tractors have a threshold of 20 km (20,000 m), and it cannot be increased in any way, unless the ship on which the tractor is installed has bonuses for the range of the beam of this miracle magnet. A little earlier, I mentioned the white and blue contacts, the problem with the tractor is that it will not attract yellow contacts due to the fact that they do not belong to you. And yes, several tractors cannot be used on one track/cont. Ships that give a range bonus: Orca and Noctis, and more about them a little later.

Extenders

Cargohold Extender is a very useful module for the agent runner, which also collects loot from the wrecks. Although this module is also useful for industrial ships (in our opinion - Indians), i.e. for cargo ships. Strictly speaking, it increases the volume of the ship’s hold, and this module is divided into both meta and techno levels. Each level has its own percentage of the bonus to the hold. I advise you to immediately download to the T2 version of this module.

Impromodules aka rigs

Earlier it was mentioned about certain improvised modules, also called rigs. So these are the modules that are inserted into the ship and give bonuses, although they are disposable, i.e. When the ship is repacked or lost, these improvised modules burn out. They, like vreks, are divided into three types according to size - small, medium and large. The rig for salvaging is Small Salvage Tackle I, although to install it, you will have to learn again. Also, each rig has a T2 version and, importantly, its own need for calibrating the ship. Each ship has a certain amount of calibration, usually 400 units, for 3 t1 rigs it’s essentially for the eyes, but t2 rigs require more calibration and it happens that 3 t2 rigs won’t fit at all. By the way, all T1 ships have three slots for rigs, but T2 versions of ships have only 2 slots. As for the size, here, as in the case of ships, small (Small) - for frigates (Frigates) and destroyers (Destroyers; medium (Medium) - for ships of the cruiser (Cruiser), battle cruiser (BattleCruiser) and strategic cruiser classes (t3 Strategic Cruisers); large (Large) - for ships of the BattleShip class and above.

Lastly

The Noctis class ships are the debut of Outer Ring Excavations Corporation in the very attractive market for mass dismantling. Building on its successful experience with raider-designed grav grabbers on Orca-class ships, as well as the latest advances in dismantling automation, it has produced a compact, low-cost ship for removing valuable equipment from wrecks.

The ideal platform for placing the new equipment was a modernized version of the successful Primae ship, produced in a small series. The most efficient use of the onboard systems created by the corporation is facilitated by the fact that the ship was originally created as a dismantling ship and was equipped with modern sensors. The increased visibility of Project Noctis ships is more than offset by their amazing performance in dismantling wrecks.

Bonus for mastering the ORE Industrial skill: reduction in the operating cycle time of gravity grippers (Tractor Beam) and dismantling modules (Salvager) - 5% per skill level; increase in range and speed of tractors - 60% per skill level.

Skill Requirements:
  • Electronics-I
  • Survey-III
  • Mechanic – III
  • Salvaging – V
  • Spaceship Command – III
  • ORE Industrial - I
The Orca ship, as well as some capitals, also have a bonus for tractor range.

This article was compiled to familiarize beginners with salvaging.

They are a demonstration of military power. They are capable of destroying an entire fleet in one salvo. To fly them, a pilot must train for years. Their price is so high that they are available only to the richest industrial corporations and the strongest military alliances. They are titans, the largest and most destructive ships in EVE Online. But even such giants are vulnerable, and the death of each such ship is a real tragedy for thousands of players.

Kings of Space

Titans haven't always existed in EVE. For a long time after the release, pilots explored space on small frigates and cruisers, and the most powerful warship was a battleship, which cost incredible money at that time. There was no talk of any mass battles or global division of territories. The players flew in small groups, fought only with their neighbors and slowly learned the art of war. But the further EVE developed, the larger and more advanced the ships became.

First, the developers added ordinary cruisers of the second tech level, then fighters and battle cruisers, then dreadnoughts - giants capable of destroying heavy equipment and bases. A free update was released in December 2005 Red Moon Rising, which introduced three new types of flagships: aircraft carriers, motherships and titans.

While the first two giants would give any pilot a little shudder, nothing could compare to the titan. A huge hold that could accommodate an entire fleet, XL-class cannons and torpedoes, a revival device, a mechanism for creating jump gates for quickly transporting ships over long distances, a Doomsday weapon of mass destruction, useful bonuses for allied ships - one could only dream of this. But not everyone could control such a ship. It took a year of real time to master the necessary skills, and the same amount to fly it effectively. Construction of the ship took several months and required special docks and an incredible amount of resources. At that time, in game currency, titanium was worth about 90 billion ISK (Interstellar Kredits - interstellar loans) or almost $10,000 in real money, and this does not include the cost of installed modules! The world of EVE Online froze in anticipation.

ASCN and the birth of titanium

By the time the Red Moon Rising addon was released, the game's universe had changed a lot. The players managed not only to explore the “nulls” (territories outside the Empire), but also to divide them among themselves.

The main argument in EVE has always been power. Key sectors went to alliances that had the most powerful ships and experienced pilots; small corporations buckled under the pressure of rents.

Over time, one of the largest and most influential alliances became Ascendant Frontier (ASCN), under the control of a charismatic leader CYVOK. ASCN was not a purely military organization: the union united ore miners, merchants, builders and diplomats. Handling billions, the alliance could afford to maintain a fleet of warships. With each passing month, ASCN only expanded, capturing more and more systems, and many had no doubt that this alliance would be the first to build a titan. And so it happened.

On September 25, 2006, the EVE Online community received news of the appearance in the AZN-D2 system, owned by ASCN, of the first titan - the “Avatar” of the Amarr race. Construction took eight months, and all this time the location of the docks was kept in the strictest confidence, and only three pilots knew about the real purpose of collecting resources. Such a large organization had many enemies, and if they had found out the plans of the ASCN, all forces would have been thrown into destroying the shipyard.

The pilot was the leader of the CYVOK alliance, who promised that the appearance of the titan would “forever change wars as we knew them before.” Then he himself did not know that the first titan had only a few weeks left to fly.

First blood

Meanwhile, on the other side of the galaxy, another major alliance was developing - Band of Brothers. Here, unlike the ASCN, brutal battles were preferred to peaceful gathering. Following the lead of its exorbitant ambitions, WoW fought with everyone, and one day the alliance pilots discovered that none of their neighbors wanted to quarrel with them. But a military alliance without war is like a fish without water, and BoB attacked the only organization that could compete with it in military power - ASCN.

Never before in the world of EVE Online have we seen such a large-scale war. ASCN had unlimited financial resources and numerical superiority on its side. BoB, in turn, had a well-equipped battle fleet and the best pilots in the game. Reports from the fronts and the ratio of murders were constantly published on the forums. It is unknown how long the war would have lasted if an event had not occurred on December 11, 2006 that changed the course of EVE history.

It all started as a simple military operation in which the ASCN assembled a fleet of ten dreadnoughts and laid siege to a BoB base in the C9N-SS system. The battles went on around the clock, and the number of ships in this sector exceeded two hundred. To turn the tide of the battle, the leaders of both alliances brought the titans into play. "Avatar" CYVOK was opposed by the newly built Titan BoB under the control of a pilot Shrike. Here, for the first time, the Doomsday weapon was used, capable of destroying all living things within a radius of several kilometers. It can only be activated once per hour, each shot costs millions of ISK, but when accurately hit it has an amazing effect.

Having fired a salvo at the WWII battleships, CYVOK took his ship away from the fire and placed it away from the battle site. And then one of the enemy pilots on the “carpet” (a Covert Op class ship specializing in searching for objects in space) accidentally stumbled upon a hidden titan. He flew up to the Avatar CYVOK and was surprised to find that the owner of the titan had gone offline, despite the hanging aggression timer (to prevent cunning pilots from fleeing when someone attacks them, the developers came up with an “aggression timer”: time, in during which the ship remains stationary on the map, even if the player is not online). The stunning news reached the BoB command, and all capital ships immediately set course for the lifeless giant. Under heavy fire, it was reduced to rubble within five minutes.

Having learned a little later about the death of his priceless ship, CYVOK sent a petition to the developers in which he complained about technical problems and demanded that the titanium be restored. But CCP withstood the onslaught and refused to return the ship.

This undermined the spirit of CYVOK and the entire ASCN. Within a few weeks, the BoB fleet captured all enemy systems, and the largest industrial alliance disintegrated. CYVOK himself announced his retirement from EVE Online, although there are rumors that he still plays and manages a small corporation somewhere in the depths of the Empire.

Death in battle

Despite the absurd death of the first titan, these ships were still considered almost immortal. Complete immunity to electronic traps allowed the titan to remove itself from the battlefield at any time, and opponents could do nothing about it. To bring the game back to its former excitement, CCP installed an update in early 2007 Tranquility, making the Titans as vulnerable to capture as any other ship. It was only necessary to throw a special device next to him, Warp Disrupt Probe (in the game they are called “traffic jams”), which would block the operation of the warp engine (the mechanism that allows one to make a hyperjump within a star system), and the clumsy giant would find himself in a trap. Now the titan pilots have become more careful and stopped rushing into battle without a huge support fleet. But the death of the second titan was still a matter of time.

2007 marked the beginning of a new large-scale war. This time BoB and their allies were opposed by the Russians Red Alliance and the largest alliance in the game GoonSwarm. GoonSwarm served as excellent cannon fodder while the Russian pilots engaged in risky missions and clever tactical castlings. The war took place on several fronts, and almost all major alliances were involved in it.

On June 22, BoB brought more than 70 battleships into the 77S8 system, where the enemy bases were located. At the head of this flotilla sailed the titan of the Shrike pilot. The Doomsday shot rang out, covering dozens of cheap frigates, and the titan went into camouflage mode to hide from scanners and prying eyes. But a second before that, a Russian intelligence officer spotted the Shrike’s coordinates and passed them on to his command. The rest was a matter of technique. Red Alliance and GoonSwarm assembled a fleet of dreadnoughts and took up position next to the enemy titan, while smaller vessels bravely threw themselves into the fire, blocking the escape route with their remains. Due to the accumulation of debris, Shrike was unable to move the titan out of the traffic jam radius and was doomed.

BoB Leader Sir Molle did not write petitions, admitting that the titan died in a fair battle. He later commented: " For some, the loss of such a valuable ship could be the end. It will only strengthen us».

Weeks and months passed and the war between EVE Online's most powerful powers continued. Feeling that he could not defeat the enemy on his own, Sir Molle entered into a contract with the largest mercenary alliance Mercenary Coalition. This organization enjoyed enormous prestige, as it had experienced pilots and its own fleet of dreadnoughts and aircraft carriers.

With the support of new allies, BoB decided to strike the strategically important FAT sector. The alliances based in the area could not withstand the onslaught, so they turned to the Red Alliance for help. New ships began to quickly arrive in the FAT-6P system. A furious clash could not be avoided. At this moment, the server was preparing for maintenance (it happens every day and lasts exactly an hour), and literally a minute before shutdown, the Russian pilot broke through to his commander: “ I scanned titanium!» The ship Thulsa Doom belonged to the leader of MC Seleene and hid in the darkest depths of space. Thanks to the pumped-up scanning skill, the excellent equipment of the ship and the pilot’s many years of experience, the exact location of the titan was found out in less than a minute.

While the prevention was underway, the leaders of the Russian alliances were excitedly drawing up a plan for further action. It was not so easy to catch this particular titan: he could activate the Doomsday weapon at any time and demolish all the obstacles preventing him from hyperjumping, and a set of expensive implants made him quite nimble, despite his gigantic size. The Titan could well fly out of the radius of the traffic jams before its armor bursts.

A key role in this battle was played by the special equipment of the interdictor (a special type of ship designed to launch traffic jams and hold targets), never before practiced in EVE. The ship was designed so that the fragile craft could withstand a salvo from the Doomsday. When the explosion occurred, destroying all life within a radius of tens of kilometers, the unique interdictor managed to put a new plug in time and slam the trap.

Seleen later recalled: “ Until the last moment I was not afraid for my ship. Even as the screen in front of me filled with red dots of enemy ships, I was confident that I could escape. The sight of the surviving interdictor simply shocked me. My comrades were already rushing to help, but I knew my ship too well to understand that it would not be possible to save it. Our enemies planned the operation brilliantly and deserved this victory, even if luck played a significant role in it».

* * *

Gone are the days when titans in EVE seemed like a miracle, and only a few could boast of such a ship. Now these giants are actively used on the battlefield and are indispensable when you need to quickly transport a fleet over vast distances. The BoB alliance alone already has thirteen titans in service!

Many players believe that CCP should limit the power of the giants, since victory depends less and less on the skill of the participants, and wars are turning into an arms race: whoever has more titans is right. Not only military blocs are trying to acquire a ship, but also small corporations that don’t need it at all.

The developers have not yet responded to players’ requests to stop the titanium fever. But the hour is not far off when even more powerful ships will appear in EVE - Death Stars (yes, hello to Star Wars), capable of destroying entire planets and star systems.

While battleships and CBTs can offer high damage and thick shields, they clearly lack mobility and tactical capabilities. Even now, with the introduction of factional “capitals,” the role of cruisers in New Eden can hardly be overestimated. Heavy assault cruisers are still one of the favorite tools of experienced pilots. Today we will talk about the Zealot in EVE Online - one of those ships that can pose a serious threat to a more massive enemy.

Fanatic's Rage Manifestation

The Zealot was built almost exclusively as a laser platform, designed to deal as much damage as possible with its energy beams. As a vessel used in the vanguard, it boasts thick armor and stunning destructive capabilities; This ship can cut through an enemy fleet like a knife through butter. Zealot in the world of EVE Online are mass produced by the Viziam Corporation for the Imperial Navy.

For the engineers at the corporation mentioned above, this was the first spacecraft design ready for production. Viziam decided to focus on the main advantages of their models - heavy armor and well-optimized weapon systems. The result is a design with clearly defined features, which in the right hands can prove to be a dangerous adversary in one-on-one combat with any modern cruiser. Do you want to try your hand at such a duel? Start playing EVE today with a free trial!

Main features of Zealot in EVE Online

Zealot is a well-balanced heavy strike cruiser. Its optimal distance is easily converted into a damage bonus thanks to the good base indicator of the lasers and the instant change of crystals in the lasers. The optimal range bonus is usually used in combination with pulse lasers charged with Scorch T2 ammunition - the result is a weapon with good damage and very good range. It is possible to equip the ship to work at long distances as a sniper.

With 7 bottom slots, the ship is best suited for tanking with armor, and can carry multiple modules on board for increased damage. Zealot is most often used in a naval doctrine called “Armored HAC” (HAC = heavy assault cruiser), a fleet of ships with a low signature, strong plates, afterburning engines and medium combat range.

Like most HACs, the Zealot in EVE Online has lower damage per second and damage holding capacity than a battleship, but makes up for this with increased range and speed. The result is a ship that can escape its target if it cannot destroy it.

Zealot can take on larger ships if its advantages are used correctly. Against battleships and battlecruisers with greater firepower, it is necessary to increase the angular speed “in orbit” or in manual control mode. If you have afterburner on board, the advantage should be on your side.

In a battle with a cruiser, Zealot will have a longer range and greater speed, so you can kite the enemy. If you fly mostly Amarr ships, this is a skill worth honing.

The Zealot's disadvantages include the lack of adequate countermeasures against tacklers - there is no room on board for either drones or energy neutralizers, so a fast frigate that can fly close enough will be a nuisance.

Zealot design features

Fanatic class ships offer the following bonuses to capsuleers:

  • 10% reduction in energy consumption of energy turrets and 5% increase in rate of fire per level of Amarr Cruiser skill;
  • 10% increase in optimal distance and 5% bonus to turret damage per level of HAC proficiency;
  • Role bonus – 50% reduction in signature size penalty when using MWD.

Salvaging

Mini-guide "Ninja salvaging" or "How to earn 100kk ISK in three days"

Using the Caldari as an example.

This guide is intended for those who in other games chose the “Thief” class (Thief, Rouge), but were disappointed that a thief is the same warrior, only without armor and with backstubs, at best with a hide. EVE-online provides more interesting and extensive opportunities for this interesting and profitable profession.

0. We go through the tutorial to the end carefully, remembering what Aura tells us. Then we fly to the Jouvulen system to the Jouvulen III - Science and Trade Institute School station, look for the agent Ochishi Veilai, and take the tutorial quest Balancing the Books from him. After completion, a book on Salvaging and a salvage frigate (Heron) should appear.

2. We create a character of any race and class, set the attributes Perception +3 (for skills on ships, guns, missiles and hedgehogs with them) Intellegence +2 (for skills on a tank, electronics, capacitor, etc.) in anticipation of a promising pvp future . In origin, we preferably choose monks, since the main attribute of a pvp player is Perc (+2 Perc, +2 Will)

3. Learn the skill Astrometrics lvl 1-3, then Survey lvl 3 and Salvaging any lvl. At this time, we are saving (or begging) the starting capital (no more than 1-3 kk ISK)

4. We fly to a system with a large number of old players doing level 4 agent missions, for example, the Ichoriya, Motsu, Aramachi, Saila systems.

5. Buy a frigate Heron, Probe, Magnate or Imicus with a bonus for scanning power, install Salvager I and Expanded Probe Launcher I on it, charge the scanner probe (Combat Scanner Probe I).

6. We fly to the sun (to the center of the system), click on the scanner (the button next to the shield strip). Select the map mode (button on the scanner), select the ship types Battleship, Battlecruiser, Command Ship, Marauder, Industrial in the filter. We remove the remaining filter checkboxes. We throw 4 corks. We set the radius of the plugs to approximately 1/4 of the radius of the system. We pull the plugs by the arrows, build a triangular “pyramid” (tetrad) within the system so that the spheres overlap each other, but do not affect the centers of other spheres. Click scan.

7. After the scanner timer ends, there will be multi-colored dots on the system map inside the pyramid. If there are no points, you should move the pyramid to another point in the solar system. The smaller the pyramid, the more accurate the scan. If the result is red, then the pyramid and the radius of the traffic jams should be reduced. If the result is yellow, the ship type will become visible. In this case, you should reduce the pyramid by half and move it so that the yellow circle is in the center and scan again until a green result (100%) appears.

8. Click on the green dot and warp to it. We see a guy in front of us doing a mission or collecting loot after a lvl 4 mission. (If we see a gate, click on the gate and warp further)

9. Insolently, with a smile, we go to salvage his sides (yellow triangles) with a salvager, he won’t do anything for this, this is a legal action. First of all, we collect salvage from Large Wreck, they are tastier. To salvage faster, after finding the wrecks, you can make a bookmark near them (in People and Places - Places), return to the station, transfer to a ship with several salvagers and return to the bookmark (Warp to Location). To improve salvaging, you can install Salvage Tackle I on the ship, and to increase the accuracy of scanning with plugs - Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I.

10. After some training, you can learn how to steal valuable loot from containers (for example, Large guns cost about a million isks) and fly away from Raven along with his missiles, since stealing loot causes aggression and the owner can start attacking (the square becomes unusually white or yellow flashing , but in red). The probability of dying is close to 0%, because the rockets fly for a long time; if they still start killing you, fly back to the sun or closer to the center of the system, throw a new plug and look for a new fraer. 90% of all agent wankers are afraid to aggro because they think it’s a pvp scam, and they’re right, with the proper skill and skill in driving a battleship in PvP equipment, you can change into it at the station and easily kill the unfortunate agent wanker right on the mission.

10. Don’t forget to learn scanning skills, this will make the task much easier.

11. Beware of NPCs. If a Kiathi tank sees you and wars away from the battlefield, the NPCs will switch to you, and you will have to quickly leave so as not to die. May your agility skills (Evasive Maneuvering, Spaceship Command) and Inertia Stabilizers I help you.

This approach to earning ISK makes it possible to immediately pay for your account with ISK from the trial, spend your time learning learning skills (about a month to increase the attributes of a character) and after that start immediately learning PVP skills and ships (interceptors, hacks, recons, etc.) , bypassing the routine rocket caracals, the skills for agent running of the Social line are also equal, which brings your entry into real large pvp alliances for a real fan in “0.0” systems on the outskirts of the galaxy by about 2-4 months.

Salvag is one of the most favorite ways to make money in EVE Online, especially among beginners. The technique is in great demand due to several features: you do not need to buy an expensive ship for this, and the farming process itself is very exciting and interesting. It consists of dismantling various modules from ships, extracting the wreckage of a space vessel and selling the resulting materials on the in-game market.

As a rule, learning the skills responsible for salvaging occurs immediately after agent missions become available. Most players learn Salvaging abilities up to level 5, which not only allows them to use more advanced ships, but also greatly simplifies the process. Of course, it will take a lot of time to learn the skill, but it will definitely come in handy if you are actively fighting and don’t particularly like fighting with NPC opponents.

The most suitable ship for salvag is Noctis - it has a lot of bonuses, and it’s not too difficult to collect the optimal fit for it. To do this you will need the following modules:

  • Cap Recharger;
  • Salvager Tackle III;
  • Salvager IV;
  • Small Tractor Beam IV;
  • Expanded Cargohold III.
  • These modules allow you to extract useful resources from ship wrecks, attracting them at a relatively safe distance. Of course, it is not necessary to have Noctis for this; if you are experiencing financial problems, then you can pay attention to less expensive options (for example, Coercer or Cormorant).

    Description of ninja salvage for beginners

    It should be said right away that ninja salvage is an activity with a certain risk, since stealing another player’s loot automatically makes you an opponent. The owner of the loot can immediately attack you as soon as the container with the loot is in the hold of your ship. Accordingly, you need to soberly assess your capabilities and take resources only from that player who cannot shoot you in seconds.

    So, the main skills to study here are scanning and, directly, salvage speed. The faster you analyze the space around you, the greater the chances of stumbling upon valuable loot. To increase the speed of learning abilities, you can insert intelligence and memory implants into your character (at least +3), but to save money you can do without them.

    We begin to work in systems where missionaries live, performing tasks for NPC agents on ships no smaller than a battleship. Such players leave behind a lot of loot, so this is where we can fill the hold of our ship to capacity in an extremely short time. To detect prey, you should scatter the plugs as closely as possible, then the scanning result will be more accurate and the process itself will go faster. Systems with a number of active players of 100 or more and a maximum number of destroyed NPCs in 24 hours are best suited for salvag (data can be configured in the search filters).

    For greater security, it is recommended to create a bookmark in space (bookmark), where you can warp in case of unforeseen situations. It is best to choose an arbitrary location at a distance of up to 1000 km from the station as such a point. By the way, it is recommended to salvage near stations where particularly profitable agent missions are located and a repair dock is located - this way you can quickly repair your ship if it has suffered a certain amount of damage.

    Another danger on the part of the player performing the mission may be the over-aggression of NPCs onto your ship. To do this, the enemy will warp away from the mission without completing it, and all remaining enemies will instantly take aim at you. Therefore, you need to be prepared to quickly warp to a station or to your own beech, since one salvo from several powerful pirate ships will turn your ship into dust in a split second.

    Each potential victim of your salvage should be pre-assessed after scanning. The more time a person has spent in EVE Online, the more difficult it will be to scam him for loot. Such opponents can use special modules that jam the warp engine (Warp Disruptor or Warp Scrambler). There are several ways to get out of this situation:

  • Fly away at speed from the opponent's ship within the jammer's range (usually about 20 km);
  • Fly up to the enemy at a distance of 10 km - then he will not be able to “scrape” you again for 20 seconds;
  • Silence the action of the “scarbler” and “disruptor” with a special Warp Core Stabilizer module.
  • You should go into a warp jump in completely empty space. That is, any objects located near your ship during a salvag can prevent you from making a jump and will act as a serious obstacle, allowing the enemy to take aim at your ship. Accordingly, after you fly up to the enemy, inspect the surrounding area and assess the risks of the appearance of such obstacles, which could cost you your life and everything you have farmed.

    We hope that our salvag guide will help you farm game currency as interesting as possible, and soon your alpha clone will turn into a full-fledged pilot who can steal the loot from under the nose of even the most experienced player!
