August meetings section: “Physics”

Subject: “Creative interdisciplinary conferences, seminars”

Prepared by: Trubichkina L.S., physics teacher at Kairaktyn secondary school.

Establishing interdisciplinary connections in the educational process is important and

complex task, the significance of which

especially increases in terms of

requirements for an integrated approach

in the training and education of schoolchildren.

Teaching physics will be more successful if schoolchildren feel the need for educational knowledge, perceive the phenomena and laws being studied with interest, if they feel like participants in the process of cognition and use an a posteriori approach. All this is made easier by taking into account the knowledge gained in classes in other academic disciplines.

The sciences are differentiated, but scientists in their service to the truth are united by the general principles of knowledge of nature. Many of the greatest achievements of the human mind in recent times are due to the transfer of the results of theoretical and experimental research from one field of science to another. Therefore, the role of interdisciplinary connections is important in the educational process. When used, formalism is excluded when studying the material.

The use of information obtained from studying other academic subjects contributes to the development of not only cognitive interest, but also an outlook and a deeper understanding of the material.

Students are happy to justify physical laws with knowledge and examples from biology, geography, history, etc.

You can offer a number of interdisciplinary inserts into lessons on some issues:

9th grade: “Relativity of motion” - you can offer to listen to an excerpt from a poem by M.V. Lomonosov, previously studied in literature lessons:

Two Astronomers happened together at a feast

And they argued quite among themselves in the heat.

One repeated: “The Earth, spinning, moves in the circle of the Sun,”

Another is that “The Sun carries all the planets with it”;

One was Copernicus, the other was Ptolemy.

Here the cook settled the dispute with his smile.

The owner asked: “Do you know the course of the stars?

Tell me, how do you reason about this doubt?”

He gave the following answer: “What is Copernicus right about that?

I will prove the truth without having been to the Sun.

Who has ever seen such a simpleton among cooks?

Who would turn the fire around the roast?”

Then ask questions:

    What is the dispute about?

How do you imagine the movement of the Sun, Earth, planets?

Why was the teaching of Copernicus banned by the church?

After listening and discussing the answers, you can smoothly move on to explaining the schemes of the universe according to Ptolemy and Copernicus.

Before studying the graphical interpretation of uniform rectilinear motion (grades 9 and 10), you can ask students to write down the equation y=2+4x and remember the following from the algebra course:

What relationship does this equation represent?

How does the linear relationship y = f(x) look graphically?

After this, you can ask to compare the “mathematical” equation y=2+4x and the “physical” equation x=x+vt, which expresses the pattern of coordinate changes during uniform motion. Remembering algebra, students themselves come to the conclusion that the expression: x=x+vt is a linear function, that time t serves as an argument, and x (coordinate) is a function.

a) x=0; b) x0; c) xv

And then they build graphs and characterize each type of movement.

When studying simple mechanisms and machines, I show a table on history with the Egyptian pyramids and invite students to tell about their construction. I also remind you about the throwing machines used to repel the Tatars in 1238 near the city of Kozelsk, in the Kaluga region, I show illustrations. Students name the devices used, assemble their models from existing parts, activate them and explain the principle of operation. The example considered is from the “physics – history” connection block.

Similar examples can be considered in connection with:

Physics

Geography chemistry biology Russian language

Basics of life safety

I suggested only a few “lines,” that is, directions, intersubject connections. I would like to emphasize that there are many such “lines” and all of them can be revealed; this work is important, and therefore deserves the attention of the teacher.

1 Regional seminar for teachers of mathematics, physics and computer science on October 15, 2015 at the Lomonosov Secondary School named after. M.V. Lomonosov" of the municipal association "Kholmogory district" a regional seminar of teachers of mathematics, physics, and computer science was held on the topic "Innovative activity of a teacher in the conditions of implementation and implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard." The seminar was attended by 20 teachers from the district, led by Deputy Head of the Education Department O.P. Korelskaya. The seminar was also attended by O.I. Shtaborova. senior methodologist of MBOU DO "District Center for Further Education" and Tyshkunov A.A. Specialist of the Department of Education. The event began with teachers from the district visiting lessons taught by teachers from the Lomonosov school. A physics lesson in the 8th grade on the topic “Thermal Phenomena” was taught by Olga Aleksandrovna Shtang. The lesson included group activities, individual and independent work. Various teaching methods are used: explanatory and illustrative, reproductive, partially search. The use of ICT has made it possible to rationally use study time. District teachers noted the ability to create an atmosphere of trust, approval, support, and cooperation. At the mathematics lesson in grade 3, “Reinforcing the multiplication table by 5,” which was taught by Elena Vladimirovna Potolova, interactive forms of work were used. During the lesson, the skills to analyze, generalize, and draw conclusions were developed. There were frontal and group forms, pair work, individual and independent work.

2 The use of a play style corresponded to the age characteristics of the children and made it possible to make the lesson interesting and rich. An elective course in mathematics in the 9th grade was taught by Popova Galina Aleksandrovna. Topic "Properties of functions". Throughout the lesson, students were preparing for the exam; an atmosphere of goodwill and a working spirit was felt. Multi-level tasks were used and a differentiated approach was implemented. The time allocated for all stages of the lesson was distributed rationally, there were logical transitions from one stage to another. Reflective activities are organized at all stages of the lesson.

3 After the lessons, productive professional communication between teachers took place. Teachers spoke on various topics and exchanged experiences. The meeting was opened by the teacher of the Lomonosov school E.V. Potolov. and Guryeva T.A. - participants of the VII INTERNATIONAL PEDAGOGICAL FORUM which was held in ST. PETERSBURG from 06 to 10 JULY 2015. They said that the forum provided an opportunity to get acquainted with productive technologies of individualized and modular education with tutor support, work with gifted children, authors of textbooks and school curricula, continuity at all levels of pre-university education, organization of comprehensive development of children, etc. During these days, trainings were held , seminars, round tables, master classes, consultations, discussions, speeches by colleagues from Russia and countries near and far abroad. Forum topic: "FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF A MODERN TEACHER." We settled on the concept of “competence”, the signs of manifestation of competence. We introduced the seminar participants to the concept of “coaching” and noted the purpose of coaching in training and education.

4 The head of the Russian Educational Institution of Mathematics, G.A. Popova, analyzed the results of the Unified State Examination and the State Examination in Mathematics and Physics. and the head of the Russian Educational Institution for Physics Teachers A.A. Tyapnina. Galina Aleksandrovna and Alexandra Aleksandrovna summed up the results of the exams and indicated comments that should be paid attention to when preparing students for the Unified State Exam. Popova G.A. spoke about the features of teaching mathematics in the context of the introduction and implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard. She emphasized that the student should receive knowledge not as an abstract set of facts far from his interests, but with an understanding of why he needs to know this, where and how it can be applied. The task of a teacher working under the Federal State Educational Standard LLC is to create conditions for the formation of intellectual skills and cognitive skills that underlie thinking, the development of creative abilities and independent activity of students, the formation of key competencies, and the preservation of health through the introduction of modern educational technologies. I focused on problem-based learning technologies, research activities, and the project method. At the seminar there was a speech by Farkova A.A. mathematics teacher at Lukovets secondary school. The topic of her speech was “Difficulties in solving plot problems and ways to overcome them in the context of the Unified State Exam.” She introduced teachers to her system for developing skills in solving word problems and emphasized that this work should begin from the elementary level. She noted the important role of the algorithm in solving problems; it is algorithmic methods that create the basis for developing skills and abilities. Introduced me to the tabular method of solving problems.

5 Physics teacher Shtang O.A. (Lomonosov Secondary School) presented the topic “Formation of meta-subject competencies in physics.” She emphasized the importance of developing these competencies and shared her experience in developing these competencies. She told how she organizes students’ activities when studying various topics. Nikitina L.A., physics teacher at Yemetska secondary school, spoke on the topic “Experiment in physics lessons: problems and achievements.” She noted that experiment is one of the methods of scientific knowledge; it develops students’ interest in physics and develops creative abilities. She told me what demonstrations she uses in certain lessons, elaborated on experimental problems, emphasizing that the ability to solve such problems is necessary to pass the Unified State Exam. Specialist of the Education Department Tyshkunov A.A. spoke about the features of organizing and conducting the Olympiad in Informatics during the academic year. He noted the need to pay more attention to programming. He spoke about the differences between the Olympiad tasks of the school and municipal rounds, and gave recommendations on preparing students for the Olympiads.

6 The seminar ended with a speech by the Deputy Head of the Education Department, O.P. Korelskaya. She noted that it is very important to monitor the progress of the process of preparing for exams, and here what comes to the fore is not monitoring the completion of classes, but monitoring progress and mastering the subject. The determining factor for successfully passing the Unified State Exam in mathematics is still the complete and high-quality completion of the mathematics course. To successfully pass the Unified State Exam in mathematics, it is necessary to systematically study mathematics, develop thinking, and practice problem-solving skills at various levels. O.I. Shtaborova summed up the results of the seminar. senior methodologist of the MBOU DO “District Center for Further Education” The seminar was held in a business-like working environment, the teachers were pleased with the meeting at which they exchanged experience, and they learned a lot from each other to apply in their work in the future.

Each new day of the Marathon makes its contribution to the general conversation among Russian teachers about school renewal. The professional meeting of physics and computer science teachers was no exception. After all, innovations in the teaching of these subjects can answer the most pressing issues of school education - digitalization and practical application of acquired knowledge.

No wonder at the first lecture “Digital Economy and Digital School. National priority project" Alexey Semenov, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Russian Academy of Education, emphasized that the digital school still exists only at the level of initiative, but movement in this direction is a clear trend. Following the development of computer technology, human mental activity is also changing revolutionaryly. However, the school still remains an “island of pre-digital civilization,” and the computer science teacher is becoming one of the key figures in its transformation.

And at all other sites, the topics of school modernization, the content of education, the functions of a teacher, and a new approach to the acquisition of knowledge were continued. Physics educational material gives children the opportunity to independently search for answers to questions, build hypotheses and test them experimentally. The practice of teachers in the Ramensky district confirms that the system of experimental research work gives better results than traditional teaching. What is a lesson based on the scientific method of cognition, the methodologist of the Municipal Educational Institution MC "Ramensky Teacher's House" told her colleagues Galina Popova at the workshop “Methods of studying physics in primary schools based on the natural science method of cognition and independent experimental research of students.” It organically demonstrates interdisciplinary connections, universal learning skills, and practical application of knowledge. Her presentation was illustrated by the stories of the teachers participating in the experiment about their methodological discoveries.

Honored Teacher of Russia, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, also spoke about understanding the physical world through interesting and personally significant activities for the child. Sergei Lovyagin at the lecture “Studying physics in a new way. Experience of transformation of physical education in schools of New Moscow and Khoroshkol.” In his practice, he has experience in building an educational environment in such a way that several key elements - laboratory workshops and demonstration experiments, problem solving and research mini-projects - make it possible to fundamentally change the approach to teaching physics.

Participants of the Marathon, who came for answers to more local questions, chose the lecture “Features of assessing tasks with a detailed answer in the Unified State Exam in Physics.” Here Anton Gigolo, Candidate of Technical Sciences, member of the federal commission for the development of the State Institute of Physics KIM in Physics of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “FIPI”, in an active dialogue with the audience, explained the features of the tasks, commented on possible problems and the specifics of preparing answers for the exam. A large number of teachers, including elementary school teachers, became interested in the lecture “Following Polya, or How to Solve Problems in Computer Science,” which was given by Lyudmila Bosova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation, head of the department at Moscow State Pedagogical University. At this meeting, they discussed how to help the child develop an effective algorithm for obtaining the desired result. The Polya method of analysis allows you to focus not on specific types of problems, but opens up the opportunity to understand, analyze, select techniques, and find the key idea. This is a universal approach to resolving any problematic situation.

A considerable number of teachers gathered to discuss issues of teaching astronomy, which is returning to school after a long break. How to make the study of this science exciting and modern? This was discussed at the lecture of the Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Victor Charugin“Reflection of modern problems of science in a school astronomy course.” It turns out that a story about the starry sky can not only be exciting, but also contain connections with many other areas of science and art. After all, astronomy has contributed to understanding the world around us from ancient times to the present day. Teachers learned about the latest discoveries and research of astronomers: the discovery of exoplanets, the search for extraterrestrial civilizations, gravitational waves, high-tech telescopes - in a word, about the achievements in which the latest technologies allow us to deeply explore the world around us. And, let's hope, future graduates of the updated school will continue this search.
