What is the most common blood. What is the most common blood type?

With the advent of the classification of blood groups according to the AB0 system, medicine has advanced significantly, especially in the implementation of blood transfusions. Using only blood types compatible with each other during transfusion, it is possible to exclude lethal outcomes due to the cause of the blood conflict between the donor and the recipient. You can often hear discussions about which is the most common blood type in a person. To understand this question, you need to know what each category of blood substance is.

Classification of blood flow categories

About a hundred years ago, an Austrian scientist K. Landsteiner, studying the properties of red blood cells from different people, noted their interesting feature. He found that red blood cells have differences in the set of antigens, and in some cases even their absence. Antigens are protein substances attached to the erythrocyte membrane.

It is the type of antigen or its absence, as in the situation with the first group, that combines blood into certain categories. Landsteiner initially discovered only three blood types, the fourth was revealed by his research colleague. And the classification by groups used today, humanity is obliged to the Czech researcher Jan Jansky.

Blood groups with antigenic properties of erythrocytes types A and B are distinguished by high specificity. It is understood that in the case of transfusion, for example, a recipient with a second category with type A antigens will accept a blood mass of a donor only with the same indicators.

That is, II (A) or IV (AV), otherwise there may be a conflict of blood classes with serious consequences, as a rule, it ends in a lethal outcome.

The same compatibility conditions are required for manipulations with the third category of blood flow; donors with III (B) and IV (AB) are suitable for it. As for the most rare class of the bloodstream - group IV, then it will need donors with II (A), III (B). Or, with its own discharge IV (AB) only with a positive Rh factor.

Compatibility blood types

The table clearly shows that the third column in all positions has the designation I (0). From which it becomes clear that the first category of blood flow is suitable for transfusions to all the rest. Therefore, to the question which blood group is the most common, the answer suggests itself.

The most common category of blood liquid

So what is the most common group of blood substance in the world? Based on the above information - this is the first. Its distribution is calculated in percentage terms, more than 50% of all living people on the planet. The frequent prevalence of blood group I (0) is due to the lack of antigenic characteristics of red blood cells. For this reason, the circulatory substance of the first category is not perceived as alien by immunity of persons with other characteristics of the blood flow.

The prevalence of the first category of blood contributes to the same positive Rh factor. Because this indicator prevails in 85% of the total number of all residents. But, despite all the advantages of the first group of the bloodstream, in medicine it is customary to adhere to the rule of transfusion to a recipient that is identical to his blood category in the first place.

Only in circumstances where there is no way to provide a group similar to the blood of the recipient, then the most suitable donor plasma is used, including the first one.

By introducing samples, physicians determine whether it is not rejected by the body, and with the normal state of health of the patient proceed to the procedure.

What is the most common category of blood flow is now clear - the first, and all the others act as derivatives from it. Each group is an evolutionary response of the body’s immunity to changes in the environment, lifestyle and nutrition of the human race. Initially, people survived only by hunting, and they were carriers of the first category of blood substance. It makes its owners more resistant and resistant to various kinds of viruses and bacteria.

As people mastered agriculture and cattle breeding - these were owners of the II and III classifications, and the composition of the bloodstream changed. And the fourth category of blood flow is due to the appearance of a mixture of the Indo-European and Mongoloid races, and the associated with this process, a change in diet.

In order to find answers to this and other questions, we went to the repository of all medical wisdom - Shuya Medical College.

Our gaps in this area were helped by teachers: the surgeon Yevgeny Plyaskin and the teacher of disaster medicine Alexander Kumokhin.

What is blood type?

All people inherit a specific protein and antibodies to it. Antibodies are located in the plasma - there are two of them: alpha and betta. And on the surface of red blood cells are antigens: A and B. Depending on their variations, 4 main blood groups are different.

- People with which blood group more?

The most common blood group is the first. Such people 38%. People with the second group are less - 31%. Winners of the third group of 18%. The rarest group is the fourth; only 8% of people have it. Most people also have an antigen D, that is, a positive rhesus. Their 85%. The remaining 15% of this antigen does not have, which determines their negative rhesus.

-Do residents of central Russia differ in this respect from peoples living in other parts of the world?

There are some observations on this. It has been noticed that in Europe almost all have positive rhesus of blood, but in Russia and some other regions negative is not uncommon. In addition, people of the Negroid and Mongoloid races tend to have the 3rd and 4th blood group more often, but among the Slavic peoples 1 and 2 prevail.

Does the blood type affect the human immunity and propensity for certain diseases?

It cannot be said that the blood group somehow determined the human immunity. That is, how a person suffers from colds and infectious diseases or climate change, to a greater degree determines not his blood group, but a number of other factors. In any case, no research in this direction is known to us. And yet, the blood group is in some way tied to certain diseases, that is, it determines some predispositions. For example, it is noticed that ulcers are, as a rule, people with the second blood group.

-One time, it was very fashionable to eat by blood type. How useful is this?

With regard to the nutritional benefits of the blood group, it does not have a solid scientific justification. To a large extent this is from the field of someone's logical conclusions and probabilities.

Modern methods of treatment include blood transfusion to save human life and health. What is the most common blood type and who is rightfully considered a universal donor? Accordingly, it is interesting to know which is the rarest group. Consider some aspects of the indicators of liquid tissue in the group and rhesus.

To an uninitiated person (there are very few of them left in the modern world) it may seem that blood groups (GC) are something ephemeral, not having any relation to him personally. But it is worth digging deeper, as many differences are found in the composition and quality of this red liquid, which constitutes the most important substance in the human body.

Differences in the composition of the liquid tissue contribute to the qualitative characteristics of erythrocytes - red blood cells. On their surface are present or missing certain molecules. These are agglutinins A and B.

Depending on their combination, four HAs are distinguished:
  1. The first international classification is denoted by 0 (І). On the surface of red blood cells there is not a single agglutinin.
  2. The second A (II) indicates the presence of antigen A.
  3. Third B (III) - antigen B is on the surface of red cells.
  4. The fourth AB (IV) - has both antigens on the surface of erythrocytes.

Also considered Rh factor - a protein compound on the surface of all the same red blood cells. This lipoprotein is either (positive rhesus) or it is not (negative rhesus).

Regarding the Rh factor, you can say the following. Almost 85% of people in the world have a positive rhesus. These are inhabitants of Europe. In Asians and Indians, this figure is about 95%.

When determining the blood group, as a rule, the rhesus is also immediately determined, since with a possible transfusion or donation this factor plays an important role. After all, if the recipient has a negative Rh, then it is contraindicated for him to inject the donor liquid tissue with a positive indicator, since this can cause the destruction of the erythrocytes of both his own and the donor, which in some cases leads to the death of the patient.

First GK

The prevalence of blood groups, according to some sources - a phenomenon historically. And the first group 0 (І) got to us from distant ancestors - the most ancient person who once lived on earth.

At that time, there were no differences in lifestyle, habits and food among people. That is why the first group is the most common and is considered the strongest. After all, from it came all the other GK in the process of evolution.

This frequent blood group belongs to the "hunters", it has more than 40% (according to some information about 50%) of the population of the planet. Such people are characterized by physical and moral strength, leadership, activity. Do you recognize yourself?

The most common GK has its own characteristics in terms of donation and the possibility of taking someone else's blood:
  • holders of the first group with negative rhesus are universal donors, as their liquid tissue is suitable for all, without exception, people with all HAs irrespective of the Rh factor. After all, their red blood cells do not have antigens and protein compounds on the surface;
  • the first positive is donors for all recipients with any blood type and positive rhesus;
  • people with the first negative can only receive similar blood as the donor (first negative);
  • the first positive allows transfusion of the first, regardless of the Rh factor.

Despite the fact that, as a donor, people with the first group are practically all generalists, as recipients, they are very limited in their choice.

Second, third and fourth GK

By prevalence, all other blood types are descending. According to the theory of the emergence of man, all GCs are descended from the first. So, the first one got all the strongest qualities and, naturally, - superiority in quantity.

The second A (II) is characteristic of a third of the population. This is the "legacy of the ancient farmers". People with such indicators have flexibility of mind, adaptability to various circumstances, but they are too vulnerable psyche.

By quality indicators:
  1. As a donor can act only for a limited number of recipients. Only suitable for the second and fourth positive.
  2. With a positive rhesus, they can accept any first and second, with a negative - only with a negative similar indicator.

The third group B (ІІІ) got us from the "nomads". Distribution - about 20% of the inhabitants of the planet. Characteristics are very versatile - enduring physically and mentally, calm, bravely endure the hardships of life and can perfectly adapt to the proposed circumstances.

But according to the biological characteristics, not everything is just fine:
  • the third positive can only overflow the third and fourth with a similar rhesus;
  • negative rhesus with B (III) is suitable for the third and fourth irrespective of the rhesus;
  • take can with negative rhesus first and third negative;
  • with positive rhesus, the first and the third with both rhesus.

The fourth group AB (IV) is the rarest. Its owners - less than 10% of the world's population. These are people of the so-called new generation. They inherited the best qualities from all other representatives, but they did not stand aside from the worst.

Surely, on our planet, many people know what their blood type. To possess such information is simply necessary, since there are different situations in life. For example, an urgent blood transfusion is required, and the doctor does not have the time and opportunity to find out which blood group the patient has. Therefore, since birth, a person is determined to belong to one or another blood group. In this case, since the birth of a person into the world, it does not change. And what is the most common blood type? Let's figure it out.

Blood type classification

It would seem that all the blood is absolutely the same. And why is it necessary to divide it into groups? However, human blood must be subdivided due to the fact that it may contain or be absent certain antigens and antibodies to them. In total, we are aware of four groups — the first (O), the second (A), the third (B), and the fourth (AB). It is the letters that show whether there are antigens in human blood or not.

In the process of blood transfusion did not work its rejection, it is important to consider the compatibility of blood groups. For example, the first group is for people with all other blood groups. And the second can be used for transfusions only to those people who have the second or first blood group. Therefore, if the question arises as to which blood group is the best, there will be no definite answer - it is important to always pay attention to the compatibility of one group with another.

Also, in addition to such an indicator as, it is important to pay attention to the Rh factor, which is a specific protein located on the surface of red blood cells. When such a protein is present, the Rh factor is called positive, otherwise it is negative. Scientists have revealed the fact that eighty-five percent of people on the planet are the owners of the first Rh factor.

The first group: widely found in nature

According to medical institutions, the most common blood group is the first.. In total, there are about fifty percent of people on Earth who have this particular group. And the rest are already descending. It is worth noting that a fourth blood group is recognized less often than a blood group that is found negative. And if you take into account the Rh factor, the most common is the first positive.

The first group of blood: features of people

This group is considered to be almost picky, and therefore people who are owners of such a group are notable for their increased resistance to all sorts of diseases, the effects of infections and viruses, and are also less susceptible to negative emotions. A person with the first blood group is often strong-willed, resolute, strong and with great self-confidence. People with this blood type are always on the path to victory and great achievements. Also, this blood type allows people to withstand heavy loads and stand firmly under the heavy "blows" of fate. In addition, people can more easily achieve successful results in sports and business.

If we talk about the preference of people with the first blood group to food, then we can note a great love for meat, fruits and vegetables. Since such a blood group provides an increased risk in the occurrence of gastrointestinal diseases, it is important to clearly balance the diet and eat only. In any case, it is important to control health, regardless of the type of blood that flows in the veins.

To clearly understand what your blood type and Rh factor, it is very important when planning the birth of a baby. This is due to the fact that during pregnancy, the blood of the future mother can "conflict" with the blood group of the future child. In this case, our medical system allows us to smooth out or not to allow such situations at all. To solve such problems it is necessary to have all the necessary information about the blood.

Probably, there are very few people left on Earth who would not know their blood type. You need to know about it, because in life it may happen that you need urgent medical care, and the doctor simply will not have time to identify your blood type. As a rule, the blood group is detected immediately after the birth of the child, since it does not change with the passage of life.

It would seem, why divide the blood into groups, because all of them are the same? But this is only at first glance. In fact, blood is divided into groups by the presence or absence of antigens and antibodies to these antigens in its composition.

In total, 4 blood groups are open to scientists, the owners of which we are with you: this is the first group - 0 (I), the second group - A (II), the third - B (III) and the fourth AB (IV).

The first letters in the designation just indicate the presence or absence of antigens of certain groups in the blood of its owner.

Each of these groups is compatible only with a specific blood group so that the patient does not have a reaction of rejection and complications. For example, the first blood group can be transfused to all groups, since there are no antigens in its composition (number 0 in the designation), the second blood group can be transfused only to owners of the first and second groups, since its composition contains antigens of group A, the third group blood can be transfused only to holders of the first and third groups, since the antigen of group B is present, and finally, the fourth blood group can only be transfused to owners of the fourth group, since its composition contains antigens of both groups.

In addition, along with the blood group, doctors also identify the Rh factor of the patient.Rh factor is a protein on the surface of red blood cells in the blood. If it is present, it means that the Rh factor is positive in a person; if such a protein is not detected, it means negative. According to the observations of scientists, owners of the positive Rh factor are 85% of the population of the Earth, and only 15% have it negative.

So which blood type, in your opinion, is the most common? Of course, the first. Its owners are about 45% of the population of the entire planet. Behind her in order of priority and the rest of the group. The most rare is the fourth blood group, and very often we can see announcements that hospitals for transfusions require blood of the fourth group. If we consider the group and the Rhesus factor in a single relationship, then the first positive group is the most common, the rarest - the fourth negative group.

Know your blood type and Rh factor is also necessary because it is important to consider when planning a pregnancy. If the child inherits the blood type of the father, and the mother is incompatible, then problems may arise during the pregnancy. Also in medicine there is such a thing as "rhesus-conflict", when the mother, for example, is Rh positive, and the child has a negative one. Even modern medicine can not only smooth out such situations, but also prevent them.
